False. It's easy to dehumanize those we hate in our minds/hearts. "I would never do that! I'm better than him. He's beneath me! He's not human!" He is very clearly human, just as much as you and I. We are ALL evil, even if we do different kinds of evil from person to person. Mankind is sadly capable of horrendous things.

Anyone sentenced to death needs to have the task completed within 30 days from sentencing,,, the state should NOT allow these inmates to milk the system for their heinous crimes,,, just look at Ted Bundy, he sat on death row for almost 18 years playing games with the courts,,, how much money did that cost tax payers???

Why do you think some sheriffs plant drug on innocent people & drag them to jail? Because we've a for profit prison system and they get a kickback from it. On average a prison gets 40K-50K per inmate.

🤷‍♂️ ~ I disagree for at least two reasons. First, I don’t know why Christian would believe that. Because people on death row are often going to accept Jesus as their savior, and that means they’re gonna go to heaven. So wouldn’t you want them to pay their punishment here on earth before they left? And if they’re gonna go to hell, then what a few years on earth more if they’re gonna spend eternity in hell? And if they’re just gonna be asleep in the afterlife because there is no afterlife, then they just escape having to sit in the cell in which a lot of people go crazy just sitting in a cell. so now they get to escape all that. Second, hundreds of people have been absolutely proven innocent based on DNA after 20 or 30 years. All those people would have been killed, actually murdered by the state, if they hadn’t had a chance to be proven innocent. Who knows what kind of crazy technology could come out that was never thought of. Maybe we’ll be able to tap into someone’s brain and see the last few images before they died so we can see who killed them. That’s complete Science Fiction now, but I could absolutely see that happening.c

For those who say “Not in Texas”: 184 inmates are currently on Texas' death row. Texas, which reinstated the death penalty in 1976, has the most active execution chamber in the nation. On average, these inmates have spent 18 years, 4 months on death row. So yeah, way too much time and taxpayers money. The guy ate a human heart. What is there to appeal exactly? :/

[40]And if any man will sue thee at the law, and take away thy coat, let him have thy cloke also. [41]And whosoever shall compel thee to go a mile, go with him twain. [42]Give to him that asketh thee, and from him that would borrow of thee turn not thou away. [43]Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy. [44]But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; [45]That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust. [46]For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same? [47]And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more than others? do not even the publicans so? [48]Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.

Yes and on top of that they don't need to knee jerk like De sanctis Florida and change the jury vote to less than 12 unanimous like knee jerk Florida did. Every state should follow Texas and have a 12 unanimous jury vote. Florida with it's 8-4 is kindergarden reaction because they didn't get the result they wanted in one single case. I used to wonder the same thing, but then I realized I don't trust the government or 12 people to make honest or correct decisions about anyone's fate, or even guilt. Especially here, where the jury is overwhelmingly female (10 of the 12).

Brings back memories of a person I had in custody back in 1988. Before he arrived at my prison, I read that the convict had cut his mother's heart out and was wearing her lingerie when police arrived. During intake the person asked me if I had heard about his crime, to which I said I had. He told me, "It's not all true. I wasn't wearing her lingerie." What a relief to know, huh?
