2005 had some great football games both in College and in the pro level. Texas vs Ohio St USC vs Notre Dame Texas vs USC National Championship Colts vs Bengals Chargers vs Colts (Chargers end Colts undefeated season bid in The RCA dome ) There’s a handful of other memorable games.

Tressel was so damn conservative. I know OSU fans love him, and I did as well, but dude just didn’t play to win later in his tenure, he’d run the ball while only up by 3 in the 4th quarter than punt. That kind of football doesn’t work nowadays. Shoulda started smith.

This buckeye team was even better than the 06 squad that went unbeaten in the regular season on its way to the title game. Just ran into maybe the greatest Texas team ever, and one of the greatest Joe Pa teams of all time in the toughest environment in college football, a night game white out

Yeah, I thought this 2 loss Bucks team was Tressel's best, just a ridiculously good year of football in college that year.. Damn shame he couldn't get the QB sorted in time for this game. Even still, Hamby catches that I think they win.

Troy Smith was serving a suspension for some bullshit NCAA rules violation from 2004 if he played the whole game I think they could have won this game after early momentum OSU buckled down you could feel the spark when Troy came in the best and only Heisman Trohy winning QB in Buckeye history!!
