Texas & Pacific # 610 From Freedom Train to Palestine

Got to see her while she was in service with the Southern railway, up till 1218 and 611 she was the most powerful steamer (tractive effort) that the Southern had leased. Trains magazine did a article on her while hooked up with the Southern's dynometer car on a trip in Virginia. Thanks for sharing.

610 was on display today.

Texas & Pacific 610 is a pretty good “Texas” Type locomotive at the Texas State Railroad. Along with other locomotives at the railroad. And it was probably the only 2-10-4 that did steam excursions.
