Best ELR content since King of 2 mile - and better produced. Bravo on the new '1 MOA At 1,000 Yards Challenge' series. With the growing popularity of the ELR segment you're on target to succeed dramatically with '5 fans showcasing their equipment' episodes. I'm a retired TV producer, and like many others I'm an amature LR enthusiast who put together a rifle capable of punching out at 1000 yds. This type of content is what was missing in the gun community. Every one of us want to shoot the 1MOA/1000yd challenge and showcase the rifle we built. Thank you for a wonderful series, and I have no doubt that you have a winner!

The 5.56 at 1000 yds was impressively close with no spotter. It’s hell to dial when splash is basically nonexistent.
@Dan_6.6 Жыл бұрын
How much more splash could you want?? A tanerite explosion for splash? There was huge dust after every shot and these guys that are 10feet away on their first few shots blow me away that wouldnt even be on the berm at my range

Wish he had the nosler 85gr rdf and 20” if not 24” that rifle would do it I promise…I’ve hit close to 1k with alot cheaper 16” and 55gr.

@@Dan_6.6 lol… he was using a NX8 8x LPVO on that mark12. Look at that at 8x once at 1k yards. Instant Splash is still tough to see.

@@lukes.2014 He chose to bring that optic im only commenting on the amount of splash due to enviro it isnt going to get muvh better than dry dirt with direct sunlight like that so the lack of splash isnt the issue and yes i hqve seen 1k at 8x ik what it looks like and no its not that hard to see and im referring to nearly all the shooters as well with the lack of wind calls and corrections its as if there wasnt a single kestrel out there that day

At exactly 30:56, on the 6th shot, as the round is in flight, a butterfly swoops across the screen in perfect timing with it's split-screen showing impact. It is a perfectly timed effect, though a hit would have made it perfect. I love this series.

My first time on this channel. Excellent. That 10" at 1000 is a hard one. Yesterday, I was shooting in southeast KS at a 24" square plate at 1,350 yards. Savage Elite Precision in MDT Chassis, Vortex Viper PST 5-25 MRAD Scope, Atlas Bipod, Hornady 6.5 Creedmoor 147 Grain ELD-M. Typical KS day...30 MPH wind but luckily coming from behind. Hit plates from 100 yards to 800 yards with first shot, then it got hard at 1020 and 1350. 18 shots at 1350 with 7 hits but scattered all over the target like number 5 domino! Wind is precision shooting's biggest issue. Love this video and looking for more. Thanks

My first long shot with it was on a crop damage deer hunt, I had it sighted in on 100 yards and got a shot at 482yards according to the range finder. 15:34 For this rifle, do we think the first shots were striking low in the ground, not making the distance? If we assume they are moving generally in the correct direction... It seems more likely to me, with the adjustments the person made... That the shots are striking ground, rather than overshoot ing that hill side at 1k yards...
