We have a Texas Roadhouse less than 3 mi from us. This Texas Roadhouse is always busy from the time they open to the minute they close. We go so often that they know what we're going to order. With all the chain steakhouse restaurants that we have visited over the years, we prefer Texas Roadhouse. Always great service one of the hosts has been there for over 20 years and you can tell he loves to engage with people.. we usually go for the ribeye or the filet mignon, love the ribs, too!! I don't believe we have ever had a bad meal at Texas Roadhouse. Thank you for sharing and taking us along😊

I'm glad there are still people with enough sense to understand that it's about preference, and not just trying to hide the flavor of a bad steak I believe that the phrase "a steak that's done right doesn't need sauce", is one of the most ridiculous things ever said. It's all about preference, not whether the steak needs anything. I never dreamed people would go so out of their minds on KZbin, over a 55 year old man putting A-1 on his steak. It's absolutely mind boggling, that people become that unhinged. Again, I appreciate your level-headed comment.

We have been to many different roadhouses . What we like is that their food is always consistently good ,the salads are cold and fresh you know you will get food that tastes pretty darn good at reasonable prices and yes always have to wait !!

Love that place. My dad, Louis, was there 7 days a week for decades. Hanging out with the other regulars at the bar. A former general manager from years ago had a plate with his name put on the back of one of the bar chairs. He passed away February of last year. He really loved that place and the entire staff knew him very well … they treated him like family. Get the chili next time.

We went to Texas Roadhouse on a Friday night with some friends. It was packed and the wait was long. When we left we said we would never go there on a Friday night again! We do love this place though. The rolls are delicious!

I have had A1 for over 30 years. And I have noticed back in the 80's and 90's it seemed to be a little bit more better and more thicker. Than today's A1 steak sauce.

The first time I ate at a Texas Roadhouse it was in Elkhart, IN in the late 90s. I had the ribs and at that time they were the best ribs I ever had eaten in my life. So yes the ribs are very good at Texas Roadhouse we agree. All the food you all had looked delicious. The ribs are great and very affordable especially on rib day Tuesdays and Thursdays. I also love their Buffalo Bleu Chicken Sandwich with onion rings! Bon Appetite! 😋😁😸

Well Done, Guys! (Yes, I know... Really bad pun! But, if it weren't for bad puns, would I have any puns at all?) This was another fun review to watch. I pray that it was as much fun for you to make! In spite of the wait to be seated. I've had their ribs. And, I'm among those who recommend them. I've never had a bad meal at Texas Roadhouse. I've even survived two birthdays there. (One was mine, one was my daughters!) I do have an A-1 question for you: Have you ever encountered a restaurant that didn't offer it/have it available? If so, what has been your backup? I was thinking about your situation and I remembered a long-ago colleague. "Bob" loved hot sauces. He collected hot sauces like some people collect coins or stamps. And, on his belt in a little holder like one would use today for a cellphone, he had... An "Emergency Bottle" of hot sauce! I remember him having to go to Olive Garden for a celebratory luncheon with work. And sure enough, "Bob" whips out his little bottle. And, proceeds to empty it! A little bit on every course! He goes and says, "I'll refill it tonight at home..." LOL! Derrick, you and Shawnassi remind me of something my grandfather used to say about sharing "The Good News of Salvation". He would always have a big grin on his face while doing so. Why? As he used to put it, "Who shares good news with a frown?" PSE keep on with not just the great videos, but the witness. God Bless!

I really like your grandfather's saying there. If we have good news, we should be enthusiastic about sharing it. As for ever encountering a place without A-1, that only happened once. It was last summer in Dodge City, Kansas, at Casey's Cowtown Steakhouse. They had their own steak sauce, which I used. And I must say, it was virtually indistinguishable from A-1. It is the closest to A-1 that I've ever tried.

Texas Roadhouse one of favorites, their prices are very reasonable. Monday thru Thursday lunch specials very good and they are full portions. Their Herb Crusted chicken and Grilled Pork Chops also very good.

Texas Roadhouse's are the best. It seems they are always busy. We use the call ahead seating option on the app and that helps. Sorry people give you hard time for using A1 sauce. You just keep doing you and always do it the way you like it.

We actually tried it on the way down there. It said it was unavailable. Yes, I am absolutely going to eat my steak the way I like it. I remember that well! One of the fondest sports memories of my life! They had just won in 1982, and I was so glad the Pack did it in 83', beating UNC 2 of 3 times that year! I specifically remember the regular season game in Raleigh, where State beat UNC 70-63, and Sidney Lowe passed back between his legs to Thurl Bailey, who jammed it! Then, in the final home game for the seniors, State routed Wake Forest, 130-89, scoring 74 points in the 2nd half. I was 13 then, but I remember those games like it was yesterday.

I've started using the Texas Road app to get on the wait list before I show up at the restaurant. Helps cut down on actual wait time. The Texas Roadhouses in my area will also give a Veteran discount if you ask for it. Besides ribs and steaks, I like their pork chops as well.

Love a good steak(NY strip steak, T-Bone) grilled and seasoned correctly. I like the taste of a good seasoned steak grilled. The only time I use a steak sauce is if the steak is fried in a skillet. My opinion is a good seasoned grill steak doesn't need a steak sauce. Everybody as their own taste so if you like ketchup or steak sauce go for it.

I kind of addressed the point directly, about it "needing" steak sauce, and I clearly explained that for me, it has nothing to do with "needing" anything. It's because I like the way the flavors compliment each other. I don't add steak sauce because it needs it. I add steak sauce because I like the taste of it on steak.I don't care how good a steak is or how its prepared, I enjoy mine with steak sauce. Love thier ribs. That is my go to when I'm not feeling steak for that night's meal. Matter of fact I just received an email for my birthday that gets me a free side kick of ribs. I'll probably order a steak and rib combo and add the freebie order of ribs to it. I may have said thier ribs were good when we were at Mi Pueblo but don't hold me to that. I wonder if that guy or anyone complaining about you or others putting steak sauce on a perfectly, cooked, well seasoned steak put ketchup, mayo , mustard or other condiments on their perfectly cooked, well seasoned hamburger patty for their hamburger/cheeseburger ? 🤔

I've actually mentioned that same point before. Most of those same people who get so upset and have a breakdown over steak sauce, don't say a word about adding anything else to something. They will freely add ketchup to their French fries. Or, a condiment to their hamburger. Honestly, since that guy made such a fool of himself the other night, that's why I put this segment in here now. I even went back and replied to him again on that video, letting him know that he got an honorable mention. If people want to continue to make themselves look ridiculous by getting upset over what a 55 year old man eats on his steak, then I'm going to continue putting it in the videos. It's as simple as that. I'm not the one asking them to make themselves look ridiculous. They are doing it on their own. And yes, I would definitely do the steak and rib combo. When I saw that on the menu, I had already placed the order. I was going to change it, but she had already put it in, so I told her not to worry about it. @lindamckenzie8964 We will get around to it. I'm not sure when, because when we go to Gastonia, we normally don't stop. We've only done a couple of food reviews there. We do have to go to Charlotte week after next, but it will depend on what time we go, as to whether or not we can take advantage of the buffet that evening. To be honest, the older we get, the harder and harder all-you-can-eat buffets are on us. If we do it late, we're sick most of the night. So, whenever we do something like that, we try to get there about the time they open, so we can go for a walk or something afterwards. I do believe if a steak is done right, it does not NEED staeak sauce. just like eggs do not need ketchup and pizza does not need pineapple. I agree it is a preference and sometimes I sauce and most of the time I don't. But, if you want steak sauce, the question is not yes or no; but what kind. Heinze 57 is the choice!

Well, a couple of things on that. First, like I said in the video, and you seem to agree....It's not even a question of it needing it. It is just whether or not it is a person's preference and whether they like it. So, I do not agree that it is a question of whether the steak is done right. When I grill myself a steak at home, I always do it right. And I still put A-1 on it. Being done right, or "needing" sauce, is not even relevant to me. That's the reason I said in the video, that the phrase "a steak that's done right doesn't need sauce", is one of the most ridiculous things anybody can say. Because it has a faulty assumption as its premise. I find it amazing, that there are people who think they can tell someone else how to eat, and that their personal preference is the standard that everyone should abide by. Also, the type of steak sauce used, whether it be Heinz 57 or A-1, is also a personal preference. To me, Heinz 57 is more of an all-purpose sauce. I think it would be good on burgers, or even grilled chicken. But for steak, it's A-1 for me. That's my choice, just like Heinz 57 is your choice.

My coworker gives me a hard time when we go eat at a steakhouse about me eating steak sauce on my steak so every time we go to eat barbecue, I’ll give him a hard time about using barbecue sauce on his barbecue. If the barbecue is good, I tell him he doesn’t need any sauce lol
