Ha, yeah it is! During loop 1 when I got atop the lollipop on the course I called my fiancée to say hi since I’d camped the night before without service. After I hung up the runner in front of me told me he recognized my voice. A very small world! Thanks for being a part of the channel!

Definitely a brutal day for you... I was a little nervous for you considering the short video too. Also, at my last Marathon a couple weeks ago, since I've been watching you vids I made sure I said thank you to people at every aid station.

It isn't always fun out there, and sometimes I really lean into the suffering. There's always an upturn ahead. I'm so happy to hear you're on Team Thank Volunteers! Our sport couldn't be without the generous souls who take care of us and give us encouragement. I write this as I'm getting ready to volunteer at this weekend's Orcas 100, I'm excited to spend the weekend on the other side.

Like the Google Earth fly-overs you put in your videos-they help get a sense of what you tackle. Bandera 50K 2024 is in my wish list. Having just moved back to Texas, we'll see how the training goes over the year.

Just noticed in the comments that you're doing Antelope Canyon. That was my first 100mi and has a bit of a sweet spot for me, but I thought it had some really special highlights. thanks for this -- I'm running this coming up here in 4 weeks for my first official ultra, although I've done plenty of day hikes/runs over marathon distance (r2r2r, c2c, timberline trail, etc). I have a hiking channel I just started in August of hikes all over the US. One of these years maybe I'll do Cocodona! I went to the Cocodona finish line the inaugural year and ended up meeting and chatting with Kerry Ward

Great job and video! Didn’t hit the sub 7 hour 50K on Sunday. Started having some problems around mile 20, but did finish running the last 4 miles. The course is tough on the joints.
