@@NOTSOSLIMJIM After 2 years now how do you like these headers I just bought a set for my 2017 Yukon Denali XL and I was thinking about doing what you did and weld the outer flange that way they are welded on both sides did you have any trouble with the 3/8 inch flange warping or not sealing right after you did that?

I welded them down to a piece of 3/4 thick steel first to keep them flat, then ran a flat bar with 400 grit sand paper across the flange to make sure they were perfectly flat afterwards. We did have to tighten the bolts down about six months after installing, and another six months later we had a few that needed tightened when installing the supercharger. Otherwise zero issues.

@@NOTSOSLIMJIM Hoping that by me getting the arp studs for the headers that hopefully will eliminate that problem but I would love to see if you have a video or anything on how you welded those outer flanges because I have had a couple very experienced welders tell me that with that only being 3/8 in thick that I would risk warping that flange and it would not seal to the Head properly

@@andrewmeek6750 yes, if you open air weld them. That is why it's important to either bold them down to a thick piece of metal, or weld the sides down during the welding process.

Really been thinking about doing the headers but I kinda want stock exhaust.(quite) did these things really open up the exhaust noticable HP gain?

Haven't put it on the dyno for numbers. But seat power definitely feels much better and can break traction way more easy now.

What did you do after the truck started throwing a code

The only code it gets is downstream o2. It doesn't effect the driving of the vehicle and is being turned out with the addition of a supercharger.

@@RedJackelProductions the issue is that newer GM vehicles use a more advanced post cat o2 sensor. They are preheated, so o2 emulators can't be used. The exhaust flows too much, even with cats, so the ECU reads a downstream efficacy error.

Yes, the truck is still getting a o2 sensor efficiency code. We need to install a spacer to correct it. Unfortunately that is on hold due to a family emergency in California.

@@smib3575 you can buy them on Amazon, Ebay, or look online for "o2 sensor spacer." The old school way is to buy a spark plug defowler and drill it out with a 1/2 drill it.

Have a tsp stage 2 cam, borla atak exhaust, titanium rods, upgraded coil paks and injectors. Long story short, just got the long tube 1 7/8 headers. Did you get a re tune for just the headers?

No, just ran them till we put the supercharger on.
