@@MrSTravelQuest It was kind of a bummer, because our girls are tall for their age. So Keira, at 7 years old wants to ride rides for little kids, but because of her height, they wouldn't let her on anything she wanted to ride. So I spent most of the night trying to make her happy. Poor kiddo.

I had heard that this place is awesome but I didn't know it was this awesome! I've never been but I have to go. I was blown away when I saw you could drive a brand new Corvette! I would love to do drive one especially now that I'll be working at GM. I really enjoyed this video man! You really gave a feel for the things to do and eat at the fair. I felt like I was watching a commercial on TV lol.
@MrSTravelQuest3 жыл бұрын
I appreciate it Reuben! Every time I make a video I want to get better 😊. Driving the corvette was a highlight for me. I never drove one until the weekend. I know it’s different, but I kept calling the fair the Disney of Texas. It’s huge and no way you can do everything in one day. Thanks for stopping by, hope you get a chance to visit soon 😊

It's been over 40 years since I've been to the Texas State fair, it was fun going as a kid. I am sure lots of things have changed since then. I think it’s time to make another trip to the fair and take my granddaughter, so she can have the memories of going to the State Fair. Didn't Big Tex catch fire a few years back and had to be rebuilt? I like my corn dogs plane, no condiments.
@MrSTravelQuest3 жыл бұрын
It was our first time visiting and it was AMAZING! Big Tex did burn down back in 2012, but they rebuilt him better than ever. Fletcher corny dogs are delicious with or without condiments 😊. What are your favorite fair foods?
@paulmilsaps44763 жыл бұрын
@@MrSTravelQuest With all the changes that have taken place over the years, it will be like going to the fair for the first time. Unfortunately, I cannot eat like I used too, I have to stay away from the fried foods and the sugary snacks, I used to love the cotton candy and the funnel cakes, but my favorite snacks were the fried jalapeno poppers (fried jalapenos stuffed with cream cheese). I still like getting the sausage on a stick and all the different styles of barbecues. Thanks for all the tips on how to save a little money at the fair. 😀
@MrSTravelQuest3 жыл бұрын
@@paulmilsaps4476 It looks like it gets bigger and better every year! I definitely understand on slowing down on the sugary snacks. The funnel cake is usually my go to. Not interested looks to expensive. They do not tell you at there web site how much the food cost or the rides cost. But they do tell you the cost of coupon's. But never give you any information to the actual cost! They do offer a discount on entrance fee. Looks like more about a lot of walking, and buying expensive junk food! And expensive rides!
@MrSTravelQuest2 жыл бұрын
Food cost and rides are $3-$10 bucks. Each ticket cost about $1. If you go on a discount day it’s cheaper. Yes you will walk around to each venue, food and rides. Even in Disney you walk around 😊. The food is fair food has some Texas flair is itself an experience. I say it’s worth a visit.
