The Friday after Thanksgiving my brother and I were fortunate to get into a school of pompano from the north Packery jetty. for about two hours they were biting on shrimp, pink fish bites, and goofy jigs. We caught so many we let the last one go, and went home with about 10 nice pomps! Looks like y'all had a great catching day, too! I hope that Prevail II rod is built better than their 1st gen. Every Prevail I owned with Fuji guides lost one or more ceramic inserts.

@@southtexasfishingfam3436 Look at the MOUTH then look at pictures of actual pompano on Google Images. Pompano mouths are very thin and frail. You had a thick-mouthed jack. Been fishing longer than you have been alive.

Thank you💯. Yes I actually came across his channel last night ima check some of his content out today. I actually have used fishgum for pompano before its pretty good to be honest . I was out of bites and a buddy had alot of fishgum i started using that ..did pretty good
