It is competitive to get a job after undergrad but it is surely possible. After completing undergrad, most people try for a job but if they fail to get one then they usually study Masters here. As for staying here, if you get a permanent job here after your studies then your company can apply for H1B for you and you’ll eventually get Green Card after 3-5 years under H1B visa. But again, it’s very competitive but it’s possible.

Actually, no. Salaries depend on your degree and the company hiring you. For example, usually, qualified engineers have a similar salary for a similar post in good companies regardless of the location. In fact, in rural places, you can earn more having the same job than in a big city like new york just because the tax might be lower. However, availability of different types of jobs is surely more in big cities/major states.
