It’s was hard for the team getting a win Up in them hills. I was at the game. Referees needed glasses. If you know what I mean. School was right next door the UofA. So that’s a Win for the Lobos a few years ago over their Defending State Champion Bryant and Now one for the Tigers. 🐅

For all the Texas folks in here talking about a “scrub” 5A Texas team knocking off the “best team in Arkansas” as of right now Texas high is the #1 ranked 5A team in Texas, Fayettville isn’t even top 5 in Arkansas, and Arkansas 7A schools are almost all roughly the same size as 5A Texas schools. Just thought I’d add a little context. Overall this was a good game though. Texas High had to avenge Melissa’s loss to Parkview earlier in the year.

Neutral fan here, I saw 2 REALLY bad calls against Fayetteville that enabled Texarkana to score. The first was the play before Texarkana's first score. Fayetteville kid hit the QB and it was obviously a fumble the refs called it an incomplete pass, next play Tx touchdown. The other was a hit by the Fayetteville player that knocked his helmet off, they called penalty on Fayetteville. It was a great hit...not targeting. Great game though! Looked like a crazy crowd.

The Texas High Tigers have beaten two undefeated state champions from last season putting up 50+ points in both contests. Texas High traveled 7+ hours round-trip to defeat Texas TAAPS State Champs Liberty Christian and 9+ hours round-trip to take down Arkansas 7A State Champs Fayetteville. They also hung 50+ on 5A D2 Midlothian at their house (another 7+ hours round-trip from Texarkana), beat 6A Tyler Legacy by 24 points at home in the season opener and scored 2 touchdowns to 6A Longview's 0 after a single quarter of live action in their lone scrimmage of 2024. MaxPreps has Texas High as #1 in their poll this week as well. I suppose snapping Fayetteville's long winning streak was all it took to get the recognition they deserved from that national high school sports media outlet. The Tigers are hungry as can be and are going to fight tooth and nail to earn that number one spot by season's end in Arlington when it really matters. 💪🐅🏈

That was a transition year for Bryant with a first year coach and their starting QB quit before last season. This Bryant teams is way better then last year and has D1 talent on both sides of the ball.
