Some commenters here are taking crazy pills. This game being close is mainly due to the insane penalty yardage and a pick 6 being taken away. We can argue whether the penalties were fair/warranted, but when our penalties gave Vandy the same yardage as their best rusher and receiver combined, there is a problem.

winning is hard The stars have aligned for Vandy this season. BALLER at QB who knows how to win and lead. He's the classic BALLER / GAMER type QB who is amazing in the college game but will likely not play in the NFL. Vandy also has a few good players with experience at key positions. Good coach. But Vandy will fall back to earth next year or the year after because they can't restock.

Blue has good hands, good burst, and knows how to give a move and avoid a tackle but I never see him really break a tackle. Dude goes down so easily and has no contact balance. He doesn’t really set up blocks or show patience and vision like Wisner. Just a one speed back. Wingo is basically a really fast possession receiver / gadget player. Still has a lot of room for growth. But I don’t see the natural ball skills / body control. Hopefully this game will earn DeAndre Moore Jr. more targets.

I'm going to keep saying it, Arch is the one who will put this team the next level. This offense if limited with Quinn. Cannot be argued at this point
@SoSuspenceful2 ай бұрын
Can’t argue with that at all. Kinda wanted to have Arch play the rest of the games this season but Sark won’t do that to Quinn. I’m just fed up with how inconsistent QE is and he shouldn’t be playing this poorly in his 3rd year.
@SoSuspenceful2 ай бұрын
When QE is hitting on all cylinders, he’s really good but I don’t think he’ll have a complete game the rest of the season. Whether it’s a mental thing with him or still injured, he needs to find a way to play better if we’re gonna have any chance winning it all this year, let alone the SEC championship. Think you’re 100% right that Arch will be the one to elevate the teams game to the next level.
@victormitchell11942 ай бұрын
What has Arch proven that yall hype him so much? Against georgia he looked like trash as well.
@ezekielswanson78132 ай бұрын
@@victormitchell1194 Quinn has actually regressed as a QB this year. He's had a turnover in everygame but the Michigan game I believe.The offense is limited to short/midrange b/c he can't hit the deep ball. Arch opens up the offense w/ his scramble ability & deep ball ability. Now tell me, do you think Quinn continuing to play like this will get this team to even a sec championship? We'll lose to A&M and possibly Kentucky at this rate.
@ezekielswanson78132 ай бұрын
@@SoSuspenceful I agree. We've had years worth of sample size to know who Quinn is now. Right now, I see at least another lost on the schedule, possibly 2 if they don't play better on offense.

I won’t be afraid to say it and it’s obvious at this point. It’s been clear as day. Ewers is holding this team back. He’s playing scared and timid. Zero play extendability or the ability to go off script. Manning gives this team a better chance to win against elite competition
@victormitchell11942 ай бұрын
How is that?
@LoneRanger14452 ай бұрын
@@victormitchell1194Manning brings a whole other dynamic to the offense with his legs. Teams don’t respect Ewers ability to run. His pocket awareness is below average as well. Takes way too many sacks where he could step up and flatten out to extend the play. And how about changing arm slots to get passes around defenders rather than throwing it off their helmet?
@Alittlelosthere2 ай бұрын
I can only say that Ewers doesn't seem to rattle as much and doesn't make his line work harder because he stays in the pocket they make for him. Manning is exciting to watch and may lead Texas to greater glory but Ewers is doing pretty good.
@LoneRanger14452 ай бұрын
@@Alittlelosthere pretty good isn’t going to cut it against A&M or Georgia hell even Arkansas and Kentucky even. I hope Ewers steps up and plays better I really do, but if he doesn’t Sark has to make the change imo.

SEC Refs are a Joke that game should have been 40 to 24 Texas. Holding holding holding
@mallarysangel2 ай бұрын
Yeah I was getting aggravated by that too. Guaranteed that Vandy’s meteoric rise has them cheering for them, and that affects their judgment subconsciously, or worse, purposefully. Even I’m cheering for them, but not against Texas, and not like this. That line is making a lot of mistakes all the sudden, and I think fear of penalties is why. We’ve all heard it before, it’s like they don’t want them to play the game. You can watch them hold back so much that it’s like they’re more worried about getting flagged than performing. You can’t do anything without natural body movements being called.
@Alittlelosthere2 ай бұрын
On that first Vanderbilt TD, the Texas defender at the goal line was adjusting his jersey like an assault victim. But UT got called for sure.
