Hadnt been down that way in a long time spent many weekends fishing the flagship pier with my dad as a kid remember when the old pier shop was there you could get something to eat cup of coffee after alicia they never rebuilt it they would play the Astros over the radio so you could root for your team and catch a cooler full of fish sandies croakers and Whiting remember seeing big hammerheads pulled on the pier and some of the biggest stingrays great memories of mom cooking some fried chicken and stuff on fridays after dad would get off of work we'd spend the entire weekend down there fishing and eating fried chicken and homemade biscuits go by KFC and get fries and sides and drink parades sodas man those were the days family and fun keep lines tight and keep making memories
@TexasAllWaterFishing3 жыл бұрын
Oh yes, many memories fishing off the flash ship. We lived in Houston with my mother & my father lived in Freeport, he would pick us up fish the flagship, drive back to his house in Freeport. Wake up the next day & fish the jetties. That was my childhood. I always wanted those shell wind chimes they would sell in that shop lol. I ate a lot of baloney & cheese sandwiches out there 🤣 good times, great memories for sure 💯🤙🏼

I went there this morning, but the water was dirty, so I went to the Dike and the water was a nice green there. I wasn't there long but I caught a 22" speck, another one at 21 1/2", and one at 17 1/2". I lost another one that was even bigger.

Hey man, I’m planning on coming out in two weeks. I’m trying to target trout, redfish, maybe some flounder, and Spanish mackerel. Have you heard about any Spanish mackerel being caught lately?
@TexasAllWaterFishing3 жыл бұрын
No, no mackerel in the surf. I've seen a few jacks being caught and this pass week some nice specs and reds. Specs were a surprised because the water has been dirty. I would think about maybe taking a drive towards surfside if the water is still dirty when you come down. Thanks for watching, tight lines 🤙🏻
