Damn you, Leroy, for putting me in this crack! I have to admit that Erik said, at the start of this 4 month butt kicker, that a "competent general contractor will always plan for and around the things that go wrong", or pretty close to that. Also, and no less important, Erik, you are the one that threw down your "man card" on this. Man card gambles don't lend themselves to "extra anything" - you are hooked by your own hand! I'd advise a second challenge- get Leroy to do a similar sized barndo in four months and seven days- the seven days he won't let you have. It's the only way out I see for you to keep your "man card" and it's attached valuables intact!FWIW, Erik, I'm trying to help save your "man card"!

Thanks for posting. Slab looks great for demo ranch. I'm with Leroy on this one. A bet is a bet!. The new barndo looks really nice. The extra shoelace molding sets it off very nice. Thanks for the HVAC suggestion. 78 dry is 100% better than 72 ice cold. Keep those doors closed!! Keep that humid air outside. I cant wait to see Leroy's house. Very nice work all around Erick. We use fiber in some deck pours and also in shotcrete it does minimize cracking. Love your content 👍🏽

Takes a whole year for concrete to cure so it could still crack. We like to cut relief cuts to try to at least keep the cracks in the cut. The only issue we have with fibre here in eastern Canada is it doesn’t finish as well. You can still see little hairs on the surface lol.

I had the same problem putting a greige paint on a heavy knockdown texture finish. Even with the top dollar "one coat" paint you still had to look close to see if you missed an area. Lighting and viewing angle was a big factor. One moment you'd see it, the next you wouldn't.

You can also mix that fiber into your overlay grout. It really helps mitigate cracking if you have any big rock pockets 👍🏻
