Honda Pilot Gets New 2 5inch Exhaust & IT SOUNDS MEAN!

OK since everyone’s going to mention how my steering wheel shakes The balance is slightly off and don’t help there is mud on the inside of the wheels from off road activities. I got them balanced they zeroed out then got mud stuck in them and haven’t cleaned it out. Not a big deal it shakes at lower speeds but around 75 mph it is smooth and don’t shake or I don’t notice either way it looks more dramatic on camera than it really is. I want to thank everyone for your concern but it doesn’t pose a safety issue they balanced out I was there to verify and it still rides better than the factory wheels and crap tires. My suspension is solid.

Gonna b n and out the mud alot throw tennis ball or golf balls n the tires. It'll balance out with all the mud on it. What we used to do with our mud trucks. Seemed to help

Look up flyryde here on youtube he does custom headlight tutorials. There is a degreaser he uses but I cant remember off hand that he soaks chromed plastic in that removes the chrome and doesn't harm the plastic underneath so paint will stick better.

It sounds good in person and on camera don’t do it justice. Also don’t worry about steering shake it’s the balance there is mud in the wheels and the wheels did Balance to “zero” on the balance machine. You can’t really tell when you get to highway speeds it’s only at certain speeds. No worries suspension is solid so it will be fine. The off road tires are a pain to get balanced some times at least when I worked at tire shops they were.

I have a smaller pulley from my old cobalt ss it's the stock one from the Eaton m60 believe it's a 3.1. I don't think the 2.79 pulley with fit. Let me k kw if that's something you would use

I’m not trying to run more boost mostly because stock ecu with a piggy back can only do so much but I’m sure if I figured everything else out I would run more

@@TexasHondaChannel Reading up on the pulley size for every .10 smaller pulley you could add 1lbs of boost. Stock being 3.8 would be 6lbs so that pulley would theoretically add 7 more pounds of boost. Which would be awesome gains. Just saying if you decide to go that direction let me know and I'll send it so you can send it. Keep up the great content, I always enjoy the car youtubers that stay humble.

@@beanet0wn yea i messed a lot with superchargers and love them I’m not pushing much boost due to injector size the ecu not being adjustable and honestly the supercharger is massive so low boost on this would be higher boost on a smaller one if that makes sense. I’m actually gonna lower the boost level until I get all the tune figured out.

@@TexasHondaChannel Yeah I love the way SC's sound, my cobalt was pretty much maxed out on boost for the m60 at 18 lbs w/ a 2.79 zzp pulley could have made more power but in Alaska we only get 91 octane max. Never got it on a dyno but from seeing others with same mods it was about 285whp 220tq. Might just send you the pulley anyway what you do with it after that is up to you.

bc he cut off part of his exhaust system, he was running fuel rich, meaning there was some fuel not being burnt up, which is bad for your fuel economy but can make you backfire (that popping noise) that extra fuel sometimes suddenly combusts, which is what that noise was

IIRC, '03-'05 Pilots only had 1 catalytic converter from factory.

There is 3 cats One on each header manifold and the one on the bottom so yes it as 3 cats

I swear 90% of the comments will be about the steering wheel not the exhaust lol 😂 Not A bad wheel hub or tie rod ends or anything that has to do with suspension it’s just the fact that this one company ripped me off and took all my money and I got crappy wheels out of the deal. It don’t help that mud is stuck on the inside of the wheels making the balance worse lol 😂
