I'm currently using a thermistor in a relatively simple analog control circuit. To get the desired slope, i.e. change of resistance per deg C, I had to add a resistor in parallel with the thermistor, and then add another in series to get the desired total resistance. Very different from the examples in the video, but still requires understanding the thermistor and the system it is being used with. Thanks for the review of some of these basics.

@@TexasInstruments The thermistor is the Vishay NTCS0805E3. It is used in a one-shot circuit which is part of a circuit that I created for a vintage electro-mechanical clock..... live.staticflickr.com/7820/46193120745_22320a79e4_b_d.jpg The thermistor varies the delay in the solenoid pulse that drives the pendulum, which compensates for the change in pendulum length as the temperature changes. A fun home project!

Thanks for this video ı was using nonlinear ntc termistor by create table way for measure in my mcu software may u advice another way for linearisation way like formula etc

Thanks for your comment! Another method to linearize the voltage drop across NTC thermistors is to add extra resistors in your circuit. Alternatively, you can replace the NTC with a linear PTC thermistor like the TMP61 that already has the desired linear characteristic across temperature.
