RX Angler I was mainly going back to this video to see the spool on your reel. For some reason my spool is made different than yours. My spool has a dip made in the spool. And it seems like I am not able to put as much line on my reel as you can the one you were showing off.

I always enjoy your videos even though I don't live near the ocean. Loved the unboxing. And Yes! Daiwa has a new BFS reel coming out aimed at us fresh water trout fishing guys and gals. It is the DAIWA SILVER CREEK AIR TW STREAM CUSTOM 8.5L and will be coming out in January or February. I have one on order. Oh, I did buy an Old 18 rod and I love it fishing in the stocked trout ponds around where I live. I know several guys who have bought the Gekka Bijin Air TW PE, and it is still a little over braked for ultra-light stream fishing.

great review, just bought one! I fish saltwater in San Diego, and wanted to ask you: what do you use for your lubricant in your spool bearings in the salt? I've been using ReelX but I feel that it's too viscous and slows down the spool. Do you just use regular reel oil?

great reel, i owned one personally myself, but i'm not a big fan of the spool, so i end up getting a alphas air tw spool for it

That’s interesting. I’m glad that worked out for you. I think this new reel is better capable in handling smaller lures compared to the alphas. But, the alphas is one of my favorites. Time will tell.

@@RXAngler i think daiwa should just shallow up the spool more instead of narrow the spool because i don't like the fact that some times the line will come off the narrow channel and that kinda bother me a lot

I'm a shimano guy and I've never had a daiwa bfs reel before but it looks so awesome, has the drag clicker and 12+1 bearings. I just hope the tolerances are nice and tight. My curado bfs is kind of rough feeling and has some play in the pinion gear where it meshes up with the spool shaft. And it drives me crazy
