Please forgive my poor English. I am a Japanese who loves bait finesse. Basically, Japan is a very small area and the density of people fishing is ridiculously high. Therefore, fish are accustomed to seeing lures all the time, no matter where they are in the field. Japanese people do not think in terms of "going where the fish can be caught. They try to catch the fish that are there by force. In order to catch fish that are used to seeing lures, you need to use thinner lines and lighter weights. This trend has accelerated in recent years. In response to this need, Daiwa has released the Gekka Bijin. This reel is designed not for minnows, but for a style of fishing in which a worm less than 1 inch in length is attached to a jig head of an astonishingly light weight of 0.8 grams. Even if it were a spinning reel, it would not fly 20 meters. However, its handling is surprisingly comfortable. This reel is designed to catch horse mackerel and mebaru. These fish are basically caught at night. For this reason, it is necessary to reduce trouble anyway. I don't think that a reel created to meet such unusual needs in Japan would be accepted outside of Japan 😂I think that Aldebaran with a weaker brake and a larger spool diameter would be more advantageous for the lures used in the test in this video. The Gekka Bijin is an extraordinary reel. By the way, I am a fan of Daiwa.

Love the content, your channel really got me informed and into bfs fishing. I don't understand why people give you a hard time for putting bible passages in your intro. You're not being negative or telling anyone what to think or believe, you're just expressing your beliefs and freedom of speech. We should defend everyone's freedom of speech and religion/beliefs if it is not hateful. Thanks

If you don't want controversy, there are two points of contention you never touch on. Religion and Politics. If you don't care about the inevitable counter beliefs, sleep soundly but do not wonder why you're receiving, potentially, discerning opinions. You also never know who you reach with your beliefs. Point of example, I am not religious but I always read the passages posted on this channel before each video. It could be curiosity or simply respect for the poster, either way I ultimately appreciate the content.

A $75 standard magnetic brake reel can cast a 7g lure. Not sure why you'd want to throw that heavy of a lure on an Aldebaren.

Got the curado bfs. For my type of fishing I like to do bass and striper. These reels won’t stand a chance on catching a 12lb striper. I’m happy with my purchase. It has a drag clicker and also seems like it’ll do better casting heavier lures in the 1/16oz to 1/4oz range

@@THEREELTEST Exactly, somehow all the reel reviews on KZbin all pretty much come to the same conclusions: Shimano's cast the furthest BUT Daiwa's are more affordable. I own both and IDK my Shimano's just hold up better overtime. There has to be something to over greasing the reels before shipping them to market.

As usual, Shimano wins in footage distance and when the results there are close, Daiwa is downgraded on the basis of ease of use. Lots of interesting reels are covered on this channel, but the channel's value would be so much better if the evaluations were truly unbiased.
