Skybox AI is a free 360° image generator that uses the power of AI to create stunning worlds from text prompts. It is developed by Blockade Labs, a company that aims to break down the barriers between technology and creativity. You can use Skybox AI to prototype or moodboard immersive VR, XR, or games. You can also share your skybox creations with others or download them for your own use. Skybox AI has recently introduced a new feature called Sketch mode, which lets you start taking control of your skybox generations by sketching out your desired elements and specifying them in your prompt.

This is just a skybox though. Games are generic now and the final 5% is what makes it good or crap. And AI can't even help you reach 25% yet. It's also not a fact that it ever will. Game Dev is probably the hardest thing you can do right now.

If I'm not mistaken there's someone already working on that. There was a paper I saw released about research on that where you draw what you want in 3d space and it generates a 3d world you can explore.

definitely very useful to get unique skyboxes, which are essential for game/movie lighting and usually can lead up to thousands of dollars in this high resolution

I'm imagining distant future games where it's all realtime generated ai video instead of game engines, and what you're thinking gets fed back into the model via an eeg or something. Then you just think and the world unfolds before you, like dreaming while awake

I wish I could generate 3D models from these 360° views. I think it's possible to do this using "monocular depth estimation" tools, but I don't know how they would work with 360° images.

Seriously think next gen games will do away with high Poly models/hd textures. Instead developers will create simplified assets in combination with a realtime AI renderer which outputs a super detailed world using the simple geometry as input

Another way would be still using those assets to train the a.i so it can be consistent in what the object is supposed to be like. The creation itself can be a blend of a.i and custom work, because there are always details you want to be spefic and a.i won't get your vision 100%

@@carlosamado7606 yep that's what I mean to say. So the trained AI would see a simple 3d rock and output a photoreal rock. Or see a boxy building and output a photoreal building. Or see a horizon that's just a bunch of jagged triangles and output some clouds and mountains etc

Stumbled on this channel a bit ago. I see all these fun tools and it'll be wonderful if they could all come together someday to make full-fledged unique narrative experiences for me on the fly. It's been a dream of mine since I played SNES and PS1 after beating a lot of my favorite games if they could kinda just keep going or if I could shoot the shit and talk to some of the characters, or other stuff like that. That dream gets closer all the time. Hope we get close before I'm too old. Haha.

That is not 3D world but a background image. That is just Stable Diffusion with HDR style model. You can create same images with SD and Midjourney by using HDR, 360, panorama etc promts.
