Thank you, this is very helpful. I'm looking to add our logo to the footer that includes pg.# | logo | running header. I'll mess around based on what I learned here, but if you have a tip, I'd love the help. Thanks again!

@@marymicallef6838 Great and glad the video was helpful, my answer would have been as follows: In this instance I would just add the page number from "Type > Insert Special Character > Markers > Current Page Number" + the logo on a masterpage. No need for a running header with variables. At least if I understood your use case correctly.

Hi guys: I need urgent help: In Indesign. I need to convert several variable text boxes into regular text boxes, as I can only enter each one to choose the option: TYPE/ TEXT VARIABLES / CONVERT VARIABLE TO TEXT. If taking more than one text box, this CONVERT command is disabled. I have hundreds to convert :(

Sorry I went through comments and seemed to have missed yours. I unfortunatelly don't know why InD does that. I might take a look at that at some point. Cheers

Hi CC Pipe, I am on the hunt for a tutorial that shows me how to set up a packaging label (ingredients, nutrition information panels, weight) so that every time there are updates to the information, I can just import the information to inDesign and all the text and numbers will update. I need to know how to put all the information in the right file/doc so that inDesign can "read" it. Is this possible??? Thank you in advance. Mette

Hi Mette, so I can think of 3 things that could be of help. 1. It is possible to use for example XML data files and collect data from it into an InDesign template. Try searching for variable data print indesign or just XML InDesign. I unfortunately don't have a video on that yet and have only done it once before. It can be a bit tricky but very powerful. 2. One can import from an excel to word in a similar way like I did in my tutorial "Word + InDesign..." The problem with that seems to be that it brings it in as a InDesign table and you then probably need to rely on table styles. I think it can be live linked, but I'm not sure how you'd get it to work well for multiple labels on different pages... 3. Watch my tutorial for making labels from excel. This will not be directly updateable but very easy and quick to add or redo. kzbin.info/www/bejne/aJ7RY3Semst0aKc
