Bought the Sprint SIM for Textnow when it first came out. Never worked. Bought the newer GSM SIM (T-Mobile based) and it works only to make outgoing calls and sending texts when on mobile data. Sounds good. BUT I can't receive any calls or texts if I'm on mobile date and have a strong VoLTE signal. Can't get any help from Textnow Support BOT. I appreciate I can make calls but I can only receive calls or texts if I have Wifi turned on.

Yes 😔 can’t call or text without wifi but at least it’s better than what I had (nothing) plus I don’t often go far without wifi anyway

It's a free US phone number. It allows you to have a 2nd phone number. Nothing to pay, as long as you use the Wifi or data. The app works as well from PC and phone.

SMS and calls aren't free ! Only downloading the app is free. The app requests to purchase a 5€ credit to make calls and send SMS.
