If you let your number expires. Your SIM card can not be reactivated. You will have to buy a new one.

Make sure your phone is not a network lock phone it only works under WiFi and not outside

Hey I have text now wireless for a few years now as a student. Yes you do need wifi first to download the app but after that wifi is not needed from within as long you have LTE or 5g data on Text now with the FREE plan

Yep,thats correct...works quite good with minor exceptions...but overall not bad when you think there is no monthly bill...i still have mine on the side...has been working on most platforms for verification too.

Do you have to make a call within a week or can you receive text messages and that will keep your number? Because a lot of times I get text messages throughout the week and I don't use my phone very often. Is it okay if text messages come into you or if you get a call you don't answer? Does that keep it going?

Make sure you dont have a VPN on and try connecting to wifi just to sign in....if none works...try resetting the password..

Dumb question but I have the backup phone linked to the same iCloud as my main if I still get it on my backup would it hurt my main phone number? Sorry for the dumb question nice video!!!

Not a dumb one at all, this number works on an app via internet...or if you have a sim then it takes that slot as normal...so if your main number is on that phone already...this should not cause trouble because it's just a VoIP ...assuming your main number is a normal carrier sim.

see if your iphone can download the app first, if the app works on your phone then yes, it should work to sens messages with the app

If your phone has an app store to download the app itself, create an account....then inside the app you will see the option to get the sim card itself.

after buying, you have to register the sim card on the app where you are logged in, and to keep the number from expiring, you must text or call at least once a week.

not a dumb question at all, i know on android you can set the dialer to be the default from TextNow so you dial on normal keypad and the call goes straight through TextNow, but on iphone i am not sure, i would say you have to use TextNow app....as per do you have to use textnow app with sim card, the answer is yes...you must have the app either way in order for it to work....i hope this makes sense

no they don't have an e-sim support, in that case only the app would work...which makes it useless independently if you already have service from another carrier....unless you just want an extra number, then you can use the app.

I have a textnow number. So far, I have used it only for personal occasions, but not for work even though I'd very much like to use it for work. The concerns I have is people at work like to create "group text" (some call it "group chat") for different projects with different team members, and I am not sure if my textnow number will also work in a "group text", or even if am able to create a group text with my textnow number when I am asked to do so for my team. Do you have the answer to my concerns?

It 'can' work on group text but not very reliable...it would be a better side phone to have...or as main phone (in a bad time)...just to make calls and texts..but i find it sometimes as not very fast or responsive if that makes sense, especially since every function needs the app.

yes, it only works via the App, the idea they have is that they can show you ads while you don't pay monthly, this is why i use it only as secondary.

No, it does not come with data...and the data prices are actually crazy expensive...unless emergency, i'd stay away from the data...just use for talk and text.

please keep in mind that there is no internet except for a very slow 128kb (with lite apps only) and you MUST use it at least once per week either text or call someone to keep it alive, otherwise they will cancel the number, make sure you get the app and keep it updated...otherwise if you're ok with what i mentioned, i don't see a problem as a main number...i still have mine a second line and it works without any hickups so far.
