@HANZO4LYFE It's a replacement effect. Instead of your general going into the graveyard, you can instead send it to the command zone. And if you do send your commander to the command zone, your commander never died, so you don't get to draw.

Puresteel gives you the option to equip for 0, but you can use the normal equip ability as well. So not a misplay (technically) the clamp was definitely a misplay.

Lessons: - Commanders going to the Command Zone don’t trigger death’s abilities. - Knowing when to board wipe is key. - Never keep a one lander even with sol ring. - When 10+ tokens are in play, it’s more than time to react. - Bitterblossom or Skullclamp: one of them should be answered right away. - Soul warden is a good card and lifegain is NOT overrated most of the time. - Craterhoof is a legitimate winco and we shouldn’t be mad about it. - Voltron is a hard strategy to achieve. - Never accept Tempting offers. Or go get strip mine.

Why didn't they just attack out at Hazezon after he killed Zurgo he was wide-open. He would have been near death and the faeries would have handled it before he got to Craterhoof. Hindsight I suppose, but he was low on HP from Zurgo beating on him. Too much skullclamping, not enough attacking.

Uff, such powerful opening hands for everyone except Rhys. I highly doubt the Rhys deck can make a comeback from that immense starting disadvantage. After watching: Well, he did draw into a Skullclamp, but even that didn't save him anymore. 3:22 I don't think Sword of the Animist was a good search. He had Gift of Estates + Burnished Heart, which was enough lands for the rest of the game. Some removal, threat or one of his other equips would've been much better. After watching: He didn't get punished too hard for the bad search, since he drew the equips anyway. However he still got taken out first.

That's what happens when people forget to put board wipes in their decks or put too few of them and thus never draw into them when they need to. Which, by the way, is a recurring theme in many games in this channel: no one board wipes and eventually one of the boards goes out of control.

Hart puts the lands directly into play, so "land drops" don't matter, and it can be used at instant speed, so there's no point in doing it on your own turn. He still used his turn 3 on activating the Hart; he just waited until his last opponent's turn.
