+Anonymous comment-leaver Is crit heals when u heal somewhone who is wounded, or when u heal somewhone who is healthy?
@redstonespy9 жыл бұрын
It's where you heal someone who has not taken any damage in the last 10 seconds (I think), and it heals 3 times faster (I think).

I've got a tip for the medic, while your team is getting ready (if you can do this). the medic(s) can start to heal until uber charge.

While this is very helpful, I feel it's more aimed at addressing team coordination. If the team doesn't all have the same plan in mind, will these tips still be effective?
@RP-iq3fr8 жыл бұрын
it's true that a lot of these strats fail in pub servers because not everyone is coordinated. the best thing to try and help during pub matches is communication (either thru default voice commands or hopping on a mic). still, some of the best tips to come out of this are kind of abstracted, but here's a quick summary of what i've found useful in pub play: 1. don't heal one person! pockets are great for short bursts of lots of damage, but you leave yourself very open as a medic to any incoming shots (especially considering medic lives aren't considered nearly as precious in general pub play vs comp). pulling the heal order is still applicable, especially if you know a demo's gonna stickyjump, a soldier's gonna rocket, and/or you've got good scouts. 2. beware the overextension. if it's just you and a tank gunning for spawn or the next control point, leave that tank. wait for more people. the flying v works because there's way more than just a tank and healer and someone's actively protecting their medic. defend your own life at all costs and if that random heavy gets mad for abandoning them.. shrug it off. you're alive and healing three other people. worth it. 3. accept death. you will die. a bunch. it's also Really easy to get mad when you feel like you've saved a soldier from death at least three times, you turn a corner, and he leaves you to fight off a demo and a scout on your own while he tries to take out a sentry without a medibeam on him, let alone an uber. if you get frustrated, see if you can play through the frustration to try and focus on other things. tip 4 is especially useful for mitigating frustration, but, as i said below, make sure you're gentle in chat. no one in pubs likes being told what to do virtually ever. if you're still annoyed, pop off and pick a different server. no shame in abandoning on pubs. 4. and, as mentioned before, communicate communicate communicate. if an uber went bad on the uber-ee's side, make gentle suggestions about next time. if they don't like it, pick a different pocket. if you see something, put it somewhere, either on mic or in chat. for the folks that are listening, you're being super helpful. for the ones that aren't, it doesn't matter. plus, you'll get to notice who's listening and coordinate with them. mini-teams on teams in pub servers can make or break a push.

Thanks a lot for the advice. Now, if only I had way to out them to practice... (Basically, Competitive mode sucks. Let’s face it. Too much wait time for what is essentially glorified casual. So why not casual mode? Well, bots aren’t the problem. It’s just that Medic does not fit into the modern Casual views. See, nowadays people take casual litterally, and act like every match should be relaxed like hightower. So then have medic, a class focused on helping to get the objective and heal TEAMS to achieve victory, of course this crap happens. Medic will always be a team player by default. And sometimes the team won’t cooperate. So what do you do? Pocketing someone who also wants to win? Yeah sure, that’s a good idea. Until the team votekicks you for not healing them, despite them not being annoyed when you wasn’t on the server and no one played medic before, as well as being « « casual » ». What other options? Drop the medigun and go kill people? Yes, I’m sure people would love that! See the problem? You just can’t play medic the intended way, with all this (kinda) toxic “you have to play my way and not your way” deal. So what? Go into organizations for comp? I’m suuuure the team captains will accept you straight away on the same day! And if you didn’t realise that I was drowning in sarcasm, you could make your own team too. But that’s hard, and it’s easy to be dissapointed anyway, because they don’t see things the way you do, because you can’t just create a team full of medic mains.)

Same thing except substract the 2nd scout and 2nd soldier. It's actually kind of more simple, you have less people to deal with (1 tank, 1 melee dps, 1 ranged dps, but the same thing happens. It is like the world of warcraft example more than the bird flocking example tbh.
