Elaboration on the spiral knights hat: it is not obtained upon reaching the main hub but instead upon reaching a certain level in a sort of abyss/ tower mode. An ingame message from SAXTON HAAAAAALE will tell you where exactly.

You can send a request to steam support for them! you can say you deleted them and they should give it back after a day or two, that’s how i got mine back!

You can also craft a lot of hats with 3 ref, so technically there are a lot more that are free if you are willing to go through the work for it
