The robots are blue because It was for a gameplay reason. Believe it or not though if you look at the first MvM trailer, the robots are actually gray! However they had to be changed to blue in the gamemode itself because Valve noticed that early play testers were getting confused as to why BLU and RED players were working together instead of fighting each other. It's also why you only play as the RED mercs in the mode despite the leadup to MvM showing both teams working together in the trailer and in a promotional comic.

Seeing some of these bots made me realise we need more subclass bots. Like, we can get a “Flava Scout” giant that launches crit-charged Flying Guillotines and Wrap Assassin Baubles. We could get a “Pyroshark” bot that spawns with a full Gas Passer and uses it to get Neon Annihilator crits since that works now. We could get a “Samurai Soldier” bot that can jump really high and can only use the Katana

I remember there was a tank which had to be escorted and supplied with blood to avoid losing HP, the tank went slowly and you had to avoid enemy humans from reaching and damaging the tank, and once the tank reached it's destination it will provide an objective before dropping the bomb.
