I've always thought it was kinda funny, the annoying part about eyelander demos is they wont take engagements unless they catch you out of position, they'll run and hide to keep their heads instead. Then the kunai spies farm bad teammates to be unstoppable tanks you can't do anything about sometimes. Who's really the demoknight and who's really the spy?

It’s extra funky on the demoknight side, since you theoretically are now a pick class, but the premier demoknight weapon of the Eyelander instead of incentivizing high value targets incentivizes picking off the lowest priority enemies that are out of position and weak. It really feels like the half zatoichi should have been the weapon demoknight was shipped with

That's exactly what solar light pointed out a few months ago Using the eyelander basically makes it impossible to take any sort of risky engagement Which is why solar light himself considers the katana a better weapon And personally I think so too I think the katana is extremely overpowered It legit heals you for 50% HP It's basically a medium health kit every single time you get a kill Though I will admit playing demoknight with the katana is actually harder than with the eyelander Because you rely so much more on charge as without it you are extremely slow

There is a very simple counter to demoknight and that's killbind, demos only get bonuses after kills so commiting suicide is a viable strategy

as a engy main, i hate the sticky jumper. 40% of badwater games, they jump to red spawn and break my tele. It's so annoying and i'd put it in low taper fade, but that's pure bias

As a Pyro main I genuinely feel sorry for what I've done to Demoknight's... Soooo many times I'll get one cornered in the room beneath the stairs on the last checkpoint on Upwards and I'll just stand there air blasting them back into the wall & popping Scorch Shot's at them while I wait for them to pick up another spawned heath kit or just give up & killbind... 💩😍

Ey don't underestimate the cleaver That shit will deal a lot of damage especially if you combine it with the wrap assassin With those 2 even soldiers and demos will be at low health as it's around 150 for both on such a shot cool down But I do agree that scout primaries are a bit too over nerfed

Counterargument for Kunai & Deadringer belonging in Weenie crashout tier, Most of the time if you find a spy who is trickstabbing everyone is because they jumped multiple servers until they got into one where nobody turns around and can top score easily, otherwise they just leave every match and its the why u feel that way that you are the only one shooting the spy always happens when one of them appears, never when you have an good team.

But these spies gaslight themselves being god at the game when they go and pubstomp an team full of fresh installs he took 40 minutes jumping from each lobby he gets beat up. At least most phlog scorch shot pyros know what they are using that loadout because they want to piss off people and dont think themselves of being god at the game or show that kind of arrogance.

I don't think we can complain about any loadout because when you think about it all classes and loadouts are annoying it just depends on who you play, also you definitely play sniper too much because all these loadouts are mostly annoying for snipers.

Also because he didn't put an single sniper loadout, when he has some of the worst on an hypothetical annoying tierlist, although most of it is just individual weapons put in circumstances where they are the most annoying. Examples would be: Sydney sleeper jarate bushwacka (Annoying for everyone, specially snipers who do headshots due to bodyshot galore, and spies for jarate bushwacka instakill) Machina Darwin shield kukri (overhealed heavies get oneshot by it, darwin shields make pyro even more useless against him, Kukri due to random crits due to more damage being done and the likeless of getting one being extremely high).

Yeah personally I don't like either the force-a-nature or the crit a cola And one of my most played classes is scout he's like 2nd or 3rd right now Personally my favorite loadout is actually shortstop, pocket pistol and wrap assassin Just pure mid range damage This allows me to actually stay alive longer ad I don't have to take as many risky engagements And as long as another scout doesn't get the drop on me I'm still good because of the fact I deal so much more damage at mid range ( and also many people underestimate the shortstop With max damage it can deal like 80 damage Which is lower than the 100 or so the stock scatter gun deals But that doesn't matter because no matter what you'll need a 2nd shot And both can kill in 2 shots especially against 125 classes)

It's probably because the gunboats are extremely good Like getting such a high resistance to self damage on a class that's only movement option is self damage is pretty huge It's easily the best option for it's slot (keep in mind I'm not saying the other secondaries for soldier are bad I'm saying the gunboats are by far the best for their slot ) Literally as long as you can hit your rockets there's basically no downside to it And it allows you to again move around the map extremely easily and quickly

18:40 yes, I agree with you that if it is played that way, it's a stupid way to die. However, I doubt that this the best use of the jetpack. The jetpack should be used to get to places where pyro normally isn't expected. Sure, some of these plays can be made using the detonator jumps, but in my experience det jumps are way overrated. Mostly by people desperately trying to give pyro an extra dimension, back before the jetpack was a thing, or by people who are trying to dissuade you from using the scorch shot. The jetpack provides you with access to areas where only Soldiers, Demos, and Scouts could get to before. It's a flanking tool, not a "w+m1 but in the air" tool.

tbf, whenever i see a demoknight or a kunai spy farming my teammates, i just go scout and use the fan-o-war, yes i know i'm risking myself in, but if i catch them they will be marked for death for 15 seconds, something that cannot be taken off by any mean, especially by the shield charge or the dead ringer. basically it's my way to say "F**k you".

although the truth is most of the loadouts you mentioned are easily countered by anyone with one functioning braincell hence why they tend to work terribly in higher skilled settings. It's just that valve casual servers are overran by fresh-installs or ppl who just simply refuse to improve so you can find success with those playstyles since they all tend to be very effective against those noobs. Against anyone that knows how the game works those playstyles are easily counterable.

Yeah I think there's a coupler you really can't like the diamond back can't really be countered I mean you get free Crits for doing shit a spy does anyways and the counter to it would be to just kill the spy But that's easier said than done I would also say the same for a black box, conch soldier as they just have a ridiculous amount of healing

I honestly agree on your opinion on the Diamondback and the Amby nerf. The Amby you actually had skill to try to snipe people. It wasn't an insta win button, you had to train yourself to hit those shots consistently. It's a powerful weapon that needed really good aim. But the diamondback is just a shoot anywhere and you're golden. If anything the Diamondback should have gotten the amby nerf and maybe even given mini crits instead of full crits

I agree the diamondback needs a nerf but I don’t really get the sentiment behind undoing the amby’s nerf. You already know how annoying scattergun meatshot damage at any range is, why give it back even if it should have a higher skill floor? Yeah I think the Amby nerf was a bit too rough on the poor thing I think they should give it a range penalty but not a fall off penalty Instead give the diamond back the fall off for it's Crits This way the Amby would still deal pretty huge damage But not at sniper ranges If it's a bit too much they can still make the range a tad bit shorter

@ It’s the Jarate part that is the problem. Even if the sniper fails the combo, the splash radius is so big that the sniper has to be a lobotomite to miss and you’re not guranteed to survive after the you killed the sniper just soaked you.
