an interesting fact, it is extremely difficult for an ordinary citizen to get a permit, but due to the wars of the past 30 years, there are probably several hundred thousand automatic mostly military grade weapons among the population, of course without a permit.Serbs are among the three most armed nations in the world, with and without permits

As universal as gossip for women XD Reminds me of that story from Afghanistan IIRC, where the women from a village would have to walk like a mile or more to get water. The US soldiers fixed them up a system of pipes and shit to get water to the village, but it kept getting sabotaged. Turns out it was the women sabotaging it, because they enjoyed the time away from their husbands on that mile or more walk!

Gun laws like those is why everyone in Serbia just gets their weapons from alternate sources. That way you can get full auto and anything you want with the added bonus of not having the police sniffing around your house and personal affairs. I don't know any "legal" owners of firearms in Serbia but I know a lot of fire arm owners in Serbia.

Yup, same in every country. But if they catch you having one of those weapons you’re looking at a long prison time and all your shit taken away. There will be no trial or jury you will be proclaimed guilty and sentenced. Maybe you’ll be able to buy your time out if you have a lot of money.

We love our guns in Serbia. Fun fact, Serbia has the highest civilian gun ownership per capita in all of Europe and is number 5 in the world 😮. There are a lot of leftover guns from the Yugoslavian era and many people mandatory served and kept their issued weapons. Some registered some unregistered. Nonetheless people there love their guns.

I enjoy hearing/learning about the gun (and weapons in general) laws of different places. If I understand it right there is a law about certain magazines in Canada that is based on what it was purchased for (intent, per se)... You can own a semiautomatic M14 type rifle in Canada but are limited to 10 round mags, I believe. BUT, there is a model of bolt action rifle for sale that accepts M14 magazines. Since it is a bolt action, the magazine can be a larger capacity. So, if you own the M14 and this bolt action rifle, you can then legally by the 20 round magazine FOR the bolt action but also USE it in the M14! OK! Anyway, pretty Cool info and Nice video. Ya'll Take Care and be safe, John PS: Here is an interesting fact about 'People Control' (because that IS what weapons laws are about). In the pre Civil War era in the United States there were weapons laws to basically try to keep free black people from having weapons. Since a firearm was basically cost prohibited (like the 200 dollar NFA tax was, at the time of its inception) they regulated 'other' 'weapons'. Black people weren't allowed to own pikes or 'multiple' dogs. There you go, laws to control people that were the same as 'gun control' but were about other weapons of the time

What he forgot to mention... in addition to all he said, before being given the written permission to buy a weapon (permission expires after 6 months if weapon not procured), you need to attend classes (usually in one of the target practice/shooting range facilities that have trained and certified personnel), go through theoretical and later practical tests, which will provide you with a certificate on safe usage of a firearm. One thing that seems to exist across cultures is that when it comes to guns if you buy one you’re about to spend a lot of money because it seems it’s an expensive hobby no matter what country you’re in. That is why we Serbs have such a lousy army because our military doctrine is for the army to resist as long as possible so that the civilian population can form militias and then start hampering the invader, that is why in WWII when the Germans invaded our country they needed almost 800,000 soldiers just to control us Serbs. If you want to laugh your ass off do a simple search on Google for how small Serbia was in WWII, after it got dissected, then imagine such a small area forcing the presence of 800,000 German soldiers to control its population.

The gun movement in Poland in 2022 has completely overgrown the gun stores, gun suppliers, gun importers, gun ranges, exams for a sport shooter, sport shooting competitions and even the police licensing capabilities. Now if you want something else than a Glock or other boring firearms you better be ready to travel the whole country to a random gun shop that still has what you are looking for. And better do it fast, because if you wait it will be gone in a few days max. Now even the most popular AKMs from two major Polish factories are hard to find. Back in 2020 every single gun shop in Poland had these ready in stock.

Fun fact: what you saw in this video is nothing more than the formal procedure of acquiring a firearm, just like everywhere else, but the thing is, most Serbs that I personally know, both acquaintances and relatives, who own a firearm and there's quite a few of them, did not acquire it through this formal procedure. Then there's the thing of them owning not just one firearm, they tend to own multiple firearms and you can bet your rear that there's bound to be at least one Zastava M70 in their collection, since it's acquired illegally I think you can imagine what function would classify it as illegal. Thus there are more Serbs who own an illegal firearm than those who own one legally and not just by a margin, no, it's a huge difference, I'd say of all Serbs who have a firearm at least 90% do so illegally so this process is all nice and dandy but it simply doesn't mean jack !@#$ here.

I just recieved my Possession and Acquisitions Licence, Here in Canada, you don't need a doctor to sign off on anything/do a shooting test or go to the police for additional paperwork. You pay for the course and you can choose whether you want just your regular licence for non-restricted (shotguns and rifles with an 18" or longer barrel and an overall length of over "26) or pay extra for the restricted (handguns with a barrel length of 4.2" Armilite rifles/rifles with a barrel length under 18") class and get that enhancement on your license. Suppressors and full auto guns are prohibited and since December 1998, you can't get a prohibited enhancement. You send in your application paperwork with a picture (sighed by a witness proving it's you) to the Canadian Firearms Officer where your background check is done and the application is approved or denied. Your license is good for 5 years.
