I agree. Direct blow back is so unpleasant to shoot compared to a roller system. I had stribog sp9a1 and bought the sp9a3 when it came out. HUGE DIFFERENCE since the a1 is direct blow back. Traded it for a ppq q4.

​@@williamking8684 Direct blowback is fine, controllable, and comfortable on 9mm open-bolt SMGs like the MP40, Sterling, Swedish K, Uzi...etc. But only because they have heavy springs/bolt, long bolt travel, &/or buffers (hell, the MP40 is arguably a constant recoil mechanism). In my opinion, the problem isn't with the mechanism itself, it's with it's recent implementation. Stop putting direct blowback into *_SMALL_* 9mm platforms. Especially those with lightweight bolts and short travel distances. Direct blowback ought to be reserved for LMGs, full-size SMGs, and mouse-gun calibers.

@ Proprietary suppressor at the TP9 is due to its action design, that does not allow to mount the suppressor to the rotating barrel. But that action is what allows such a compact PDW with a locked bolt design. The TP9 suppressor is also kind of dual use, you can adapt the can to 3lug and use it on other 9mm guns.

they just need to make sure the final product weight for the 5.7 is closer to last years prototype. This year it was chunky and let's be honest, the real market for this is a backpacking gun that is flatter shooting than most pistol calibers but still has that center fire nato power cartridge. I needs to be able to worn on the hip like the mp7 and not flop around because of weight and still compete in form factor with a 10 inch ar15.

Make one in 7.5 fk with 10mm and 45 acp conversions and you would have a winner! I think this style pdw in 7.5 fk would have some serious potential (think security details or anything you need as much firepower in as small of a package as you can manage). It needs to feed through the grip to stay small or you may as well just use 300 blackout, and 7.5 fk gives you the best “rifle like” performance you can comfortably feed through the grip. There is nothing in the market like that right now. I would buy one and I know other people that would too.
