TFDi Design MD-11 Delta Airlines Los Angeles to Portland and new Beyond ATC Taxi Map

TFDi Design MD-11 Delta Airlines and also the brand new feature from Beyond ATC: Taxi map which is very helpful.
I pulled the heading knob instead of the speed knob (on my Winwing FCU) on final and threw me out of a good approach, but I was able to get back.
Good landing: -228 FPM.

The Delta Terminal was terminal 5 on the south side back when this plane was part of the fleet in the 90's. Not that it seriously matters. Just a nostalgic blast from the past. Great Video!

There's nothing better than bringing back good memories. I never flew in MD-11s but I did plenty of trips in DC-10s. Thank you for your comment!

And I never had a chance to fly in MD-11, but I’ve lived fairly close to PDX, Delta’s MD-11s were common sight in Portland 90s. It was quite a sight when they were on the final approach. The only tri-jets I flew on back in those days are 727, DC-10 and L-1011.

Thank you for your thumbs up! Yeah I try to minimize outside view while in the air. I know it can be jarring when you don't expect it. Besides it kind of ruins the immersion a little. If I go outside I do it quickly for a screenshot or two. Edit: just got an idea I can pause OBS recording while I take screenshots to avoid recording outside while flying.

@@ZetaAquilaeSimulations dont bother too much about this. Its YOUR content, but very appreciate it. What I often do is lowering down the engines sounds before switching the view.
