Great video, as always. I love how much informative I gain from watching your videos. I just stayed at the JW Marriott in Doha over formula 1 weekend. Loved that hotel too. Doha runs like a well oiled machine. It’s Disney clean. The ground experience on Qatar airlines in business class was beyond words. Simply amazing. #1 ground experience ever. I only had two minor complaints. We got “Qatared”. No Q suite from Doha to Bangkok. And I felt the only thing missing in Doha was a good central location that I could go where there were lots of cool stuff /restaurants/people watching. Everything in Qatar was so spread out. It was difficult to plan a night out without taking 3-4 taxis. It’s a 2-3 night destination.

Beautiful vid Kevin. Are you a Formula 1 fan? Ever been to a race? Lusail made me think of the F1 circuit there

Are the other four hotel reviews I published in the last month (or the four in the month prior, or three in the month prior to that.....) not real hotel reviews?

Long time Doha resident here. Loved this review and you comment that Qatar isn’t for everyone and they are ok with that!

This hotel architecture looks a lot like The St. Regis in Muscat! I did push the like button! 😊 Thank you Kevin for your work!

Beautiful furnishing at the hotel and the mall. The hotel and mall without white type noise is a museum at library levels of quietness.

Just stayed in the Waldorf Astoria Amsterdam, I really like the style and vibe…I’m a bit older though. Wonder how they will do when the Rosewood will open in a couple of months. Thank you for the extensive review 🙏🏼

A beautiful property. Seems like the type I'd enjoy, especially for a beach vacation. Giving me Florida, Caribbean and Mediterranean vibes.

All of that beautiful breakfast food and no people (it seems) to eat it all. What a quiet stay to say the least. Thanks for the review(s)! Happy travels!

Great video as usual. Try the Waldorf in Ras Al Khaimah, 90 minutes north of Dubai - and if you can get a flight into the airport here, even better, You'll drive right past my house to!

Thanks for another great video, I noticed that near the end of the video you showed a screenshot of your ranking of every breakfast. I really enjoy these ranking lists. Do you have more of these that you could share with your subscribers? Perhaps a whole video of just ranking lists?

Cool review and such a unique time to be staying. If you ever end up revisiting this property I’d be interested to hear your thoughts about how the atmosphere and service during a more typical time compares.

A week alone there with a watercolour palette sounds like heaven as an insanely busy Christmas season looms. Curious, if I don’t need another Neverfull, can I buy everyday things at the mall next door? Hugely enjoyable review, thanks.

Love the vibe and effort in recent WA properties. Now that I have high esteem for breakfast at Como point yamu too, please do me (us) a solid: plan a stay at WA Bangkok and order egg Benedict with truffle and caviar followed by French toast. I’ll bet it’ll be in your top 3. Nice review though despite Ramadan constraints

Funny just reading your comment I realized how similar the white washed curves at this Waldorf are to the ones in Bangkok. It's definitely on my list.

@ rooms are waaaaay less white though in Bangkok , and not blue at all. Me thinks you might even like the totally weird pool 😂

Thanks Kevin for the video. Did you try the sea? The Intercontinental beach is very muddy once you go in unlike most beach in Dubai for instance so I was wondering if that is a problem in the Luksail area. I just checked rates for mid June 2025 (very low season) and I am surprised that the rates are in the 300Euro region. You can get much better beach resorts in Dubai for that or slightly above that such as the One&Only, the Madinats hotels and the 4S.

Sure, but this is Doha, which is generally much more expensive than Dubai. The beach (under water) here was quite hard, almost like a rehydrated desert floor lol.

Awesome and, at least for me, long awaited review. Felt a little short though, you didn't show the spa, gym, beach club, rooftop and the other restaurants. It is my understanding that restaurants usually open after dark during Ramadan?
@tfft9 күн бұрын
No, the venues that I mentioned being closed in the video were closed in their entirety. Not much fun at a rooftop bar (even after dark) without music. And yes, I certainly did show the beach lol.

I was going to suggest a trip to London , reviewing some of the ‘classic’ luxury hotels to be found here … but then their prices are just so obscenely expensive, as is the price of just about everything here , so why would you want to ?? I’ll suggest maybe a tour of Northern Thailand instead?ChiangMai/ChiangRai and beyond.. ? Not everyone just wants to visit beaches etc .. just a thought.. thanks as always for a cool clip , Kevin .. 🙏

If looking at it as a beach resort, yes. If looking at it as a hotel, I think it's nearly on par with its competition.

I actually prefer the peace & quiet of NO MUSIC & only the ambient surrounding sounds. Far more pleasant & peaceful to Be present to the local vibe & culture with annoying music to distract one’s mind & experience. Thx for sharing that they actually turn the music off!!!
