Great review as always ! Just come back from Bali, did a lovely premium economy with Austrian from Vienna to Bangkok ( and a great afternoon and evening in Vienna as I started in London) , all good, especially the Wiener Melange coffee was a treat! Did Thai Airways 772 out and 789 back to Bali, was good, especially the seafood meal ordered was a nice treat. The Swiss return from BKK to Zurich in their much hyped new Premium economy seat was .... Meh ..... Service and food great, but for A 2 metre tall and sturdy build Dutchman that seat was not well thought through at all. The meal tray was leaving marks in my stomach, couldn't eat in relax position (the seat moves out and forward within the shelll) and you can't open the meal tray without moving the TV screen (great HD screen btw). ns the short end of teh safety belt is sooooo short I have to fiddle to lock it properly, end up asking for an extension belt to close it in front of me rather than almost underneath me. Staff ever so friendly, and the legroom in exit row premium economy was great Best seat value wise? The economy seat behind the premium economy seats, they had more legroom then some premium economy seats! Strange experience!

Thanks for sharing! I look forward to getting some more premium economy on the channel in the next year or two... but tough to book premium eco when there's usually a business class options from somewhere to somewhere for almost the same price haha.

I was gonna book a business hlat £1500 return LHR to BKK on a combo of Swiss and Austrian, but that rate disappeared after a day !grrrrr then booked premium economy for £1000 but was still probably annoyed having lost out on full business class .......

Always like learning about new airlines as the travel market is undergoing huge changes. Hope that airfares for long haul do come down as at the moment these are really expensive in all classes.

It’s 100% because of lack of Chinese carriers in the market at the moment. As soon as they are back to precovid levels they’ll be undercutting everyone and keeping the industry in check, ironically lol.

I think I have a guess as to why you might feel like the sunrises or sunsets along East Asia are crisper, lack of air pollution to the East. The Pacific has far better air quality than any other place

The airport certainly was chaotic at that time of night! It's interesting to see how Asia heavy the departures are, other than Melbourne, Frankfurt and Dubai all other flights loooked Asia bound. Random question: How long before the flight did you arrive if you knew it was going to be hectic? I wouldn't have even noticed the seat colour as l also had never heard of this airline. Perhaps Air Premia might like to use that yellow advertising space in the jet bridge. The orange and blue would make a welcome change. I hope the airline succeeds. It looks like a decent product 👍

Very interesting video, and outstanding quality. I have two questions though: 1. What is the +1 bonus in the fees and food category, is that then 19 or 17 to 18 and why? 2. I have never seen you mention IFE selection and add points or take away points for it, except today it seems. Why's that?

The IFE selection i talk about in every mid or long haul review. I make a graphic for each video about how many titles are on offer. The bonus points is above the score there simply bc it was such a bargain of a fare.

​@@tfft Yes I have seen the graphic, but like in the EVA video, where I think you said (and also in my experience) the IFE could be better, but it got a perfect 100 overall score.

As stated, my scores are *always* relative to the price I paid. Those EVA flights were incredible redemption value and while it certainly could have been more extensive IFE, I don’t fault airlines for having 100-200 titles vs 300-400. Having enough entertainment for a monthly long haul flyer is my criteria for full IFE marks.
