Sanatana Dharma = Hinduism + Buddhism + Jainism + Sikhism I don't understand why the WEST or the people living OUTSIDE India, Nepal, Bhutan, Srilanka & other Asian countries present it like a different religion. Our core values were always same or you could say you can easily see similarities between all the above mentioned religions. ----- You can easily find similarities in all the holy books of these above mentioned religions. The common thing found in all these holy books is to promote peace, protect the weak, help everyone, respect your teachers and elders respect the nature, animals and humanity. Sanatana Dharma is not a religion. It's a way of living life. Different texts give different lists of the duties, but in general sanatana dharma consists of virtues such as honesty, refraining from injuring living beings, purity, goodwill, mercy, patience, forbearance, self-restraint, generosity, and asceticism. There are many ways to get moksha, mukti, samsara ( liberation from the cycle of Death and Rebirth ). Just like "Siddhartha or Gautam Buddha also known as Shakyamuni" followed one of many methods of Sanatana Dharma to get out from the cycle of Reincarnation. People those who followed him were called boddhis. When their strength or number of followers practicing the same method increased. The West started calling them Buddhism. Same thing happened with the other religion as well. People living In this region that we call south asia, worship all the gods and goddesses found in Sanatana Dharma. But we do also have a family god / godess or guardian that we worship on special occasions. ( Kul Dev / Kul Devi / Isht Dev / Ishta Devata) Let's make a Hypothetical situation with an example what Western Countries did: My family god is shiva and my friends family god is Vishnu and someone else family god might be durga maa. We live in a community where my whole community is of 100 people who worship shiva. After 500 years the community population increased to 100k ( 1 lacs ) so will people start calling us Shivaism, Vishnuism and Durgaism? We are always and will be forever be called the people who follow "Sanatana Dharma". That's it. Jai shree Ram Jai shree krishna Jai shree Buddha Jai shree Adinath Jai shree Mahavira Jai shree Waheguru We are following the principle that were taught to us. We are following our Dharma. Not the today's meaning of Dharma (religion) but spiritual dharma ( Kartavya - duties, commitment, role, responsibility, obligations). And yeah! Not only we worship gods, we also worship humans (parents, teachers & elders) animals, trees, mountains, rivers, sun, moon, planets, stars and Universe. After all, sound of the Universe is Om, Aum, 🕉️. Scientifically proven. Sanatana Dharma is not a religion. I'm saying this because a religion is always with a founder concept (a human figure). Sanatana Dharma does not have a founder. Nobody knows when and who started it. Only thing we know it is the oldest. We follow the teachings that was provided to us in Bhagwat Geeta, Ramayan, Mahabharat and the 4 Vedas and Upnishad. You will find people practice multiple concepts in Sanatana Dharma. In Sanatana Dharma :- - people those who believe in multiple gods. - people those who believe in single god. - people those who believe there is no god. - people those who believe god is male. - people those who believe god is female. - people those who believe god is both half male and half female. - people those who believe in no god but understands the Universe follows the concept of karma and dharma. Everything is depended on the actions you took in your past life, that will affect your present and decide your future life. - people those who believe in no god but there is a supreme being that is guiding & protecting everything. In the End, We All are Sanatani.

Haii iam so happy to see this video. I am a balinese hindhu we believe shiva budha which we combine hindhu and budha believe we called hindhu dharma tirtha which means religion based on dharma and blessed by holly water from god (creator) our main god is lord Shiva we called hyang bhatara guru which means he is the guru and the superior god among all god. And hinduism in bali are not only worship the god and goddes we have a very close connection to our ancestor so every houses has their own temple to worship our ancestor. And in bali we believe that we all are god creations so we have to respect all of other creations of god. We even do some ceremony to bless bhuta kala (one representation of bhu means universe and kala means time in the shape of dark forces of big demonic shape) we believe lord shiva create bhuta kala as his represantation of his power to punish people who do adharma and control this universe from people who hurt other and do adharma to other god creations as they have to destroy things that do not deserve to keep anymore so that god could create something way better to this world. but bhuta kala will guide and give u protection if we live our live based on dharma spread love and respect to all god and all of the god creations. Hope that at least i could give u more insight about hinduism in bali Swaha🙏 Send u lot love and light from bali😇

As Indonesian I like the fact that you said Indonesia as "the most populous muslim majority country" instead just "muslim country/islamic country" like many western propaganda media and missguided Indian media, cause it create different meaning, misleading information, create assumption, prejudice, pushing wrong narrative, and pushing minority to feel unseen. Especially since Indonesia is not based on religion ideology but based on pancasila ideology which taken from old Javanese and sanskrit, the country itself heavily rooted with mix hindu buddhist culture and acknowledge 6 official religion. Theres more deeper and broader story than you explain in the video, and not only just Bali but whole Indonesia for example its normal to see many people with different religions who has hindu name or custom and vice versa for example like people's name and one of famous national Catholic university named Sanata Dharma University. Garuda also Indonesia's national emblem and symbol not only just name of airlines. The hindu ancient kingdom mostly center in Java not Bali and many kingdom in Indonesia ruled the whole Southeast Asia region from Srivijaya (buddhist) to Majapahit (hindu). Since you keep highlighting Bali cause there's more history of Indonesia with hinduism than just Bali, and hinduism in Indonesia is different with hinduism in India just like islam different with middle east one, there's mix culture as well. Fun fact the history of islam being introduced in Indonesia was by Indian traider/sailor.

Actually, Hinduism is not the first religion adopted by our ancestors. Before Hinduism developed, there were already local religions and beliefs in each region. When Hinduism came, Hinduism was acculturated with local religions & beliefs. These local religions & beliefs still exist and are practiced by several ethnic groups in Indonesia. Like the Sunda Wiwitan, Parmalim, Karahingan, etc.
@kaushik-cy6vo2 жыл бұрын
@@ardiansyah-b-6710 see again you are misinformed about Hinduism and sanatan dharma . Here is what scriptures and bhagvat gita says ! Sanatan Dharma is THE knowledge , eternal and path to reach the divine and hence no boundaries unlike Hinduism which is just a geographical identity by Arabs and parsis which has nothing to do with sanatan dharm Many people misinterprete and say both are same ,but Hinduism represent s culture of people beyond indus valley but the sanatan dharma values have been reached the world millenium s ago which shrinked and become limited ,later till what we call akhand Bharata which included Indonesia Cambodia Malaysia Columbus Mexico Tibet Kashmir Bhutan srilanka Bangladesh Pakistan Afghanistan Vietnam Thailand Burma phillipness Japan and many others..,and then later shrinked to india and sourrounding nations and then later only till india and Nepal and now only till north india and south india That's a different thing that today sanatan dharm 🕉️ ✨🔱🌼 is mainly accepted and followed in India and Nepal Yes no doubt that this santan dharma knowledge originated in India and sourrounding nations like theory of Karma dharma reincarnation life after death auyerveda meditation yoga and many more but it is meant for all the man kind ... Hinduism is not a religion it is a term given to identify people living beyond indus valley and around.. And it is sanatan dharm ,which too is also not a religion. Actually we don't believe in term or concept of religion .. The word dharma in Sanskrit and as per mahabharat and Bhagvad Gita means a duty and responsibility a person is bound too./ righteousness or ethics.. Like we usually in dharma ,say :A parent Dharma is to nourish and protect their child , a king /queen to govern his /her kingdom Following principles in dharma shastras ,Garuda puran and others. It doesn't mean king, queen parents and child have different religion .. They have different responsibilities they are bounded with ..or Ethical values Like in Mahabharata Krishna taught that dharma should be saved and justice should always shine and prevail here he mentions that Pandavas were more wrong than demons as they were watching injustice happening for their wife and kingdom but still they didn't responded or raised voice.. Dharma Protects Those Who Protect it..! You don't to be unnecessarily become violative.. But you should also not be blind and keep hand on hand watching all wrong and Adharma happening.raise voice. Followers of Sanatana Dharma find god in every single thing that he creates ,he is present in smallest of atom and largest we can imagine.he is present in sand cows animals nature river sun tree planets moon every where Even inside ourselves we just have to find him through end number of ways ,it can be anything or any path . Some found him by chanting or mediation , some by dancing in his holy bhajans and kirtans or some by doing good work in his name with pure heart and soul. Some by complete surrender and some by reading his holy scriptures and applying in their life..

Less than a week back, I have toured Bali and returned. It is a jewel of an island. I found that the Balinese Hindus are not of Indian stock, but are highly devoted to their dharma. In public roads, I have seen giant statues of Rama building bridge, Bhima standing tall with his mace, Bhima combatting a python, Ghatotkacha battling someone, and lastly Krishna playing flute in the company of Gopis. Something one doesn’t come across in India itself.

In Daily....Indonesian Hindu familiar with this 2 Puranas, because when we still in womb when we were still in the womb we would be recited the geeta (kakawin) until we were cremated. We can easily find these 2 puranas, on the walls of houses, in prayer clothes, in temples. even everyday conversations. If you are a brave, handsome, brave and kind person, you will be called Arjuna. but if you are an evil, cunning person then you will be called Shakuni. etc.

@@Mr.GareebTrader Dewa Ruci , in wayang stories , is the name of a dwarf god whom Bima or Werkudara met on a journey to find the water of life . The name Dewa Ruci is also a play or title of a wayang performance about this god, which contains moral teachings and the Javanese philosophy of life . The wayang play is an interpolation of the Mahabharata , so it is not found in the original Mahabharata manuscript from India . The play Dewa Ruci tells the story of students' obedience to teachers, independence in action, and the struggle to find one's identity . According to Javanese philosophy , recognizing one's identity will lead a person to know one's origins as a creation of God . This knowledge of God gives rise to the desire to act in harmony with God's will, even to be one with God, which is called Manunggaling Kawula Gusti (united servant-Gusti). Although not an original part of the Mahabharata book by Kresna Dwaipayana Byasa , this story takes the main character from the Mahabharata , namely Bima , one of the most powerful Pandava warriors. This insert story is popular in Javanese society and is performed by most puppeteers in Java .

Okay thanks, i have to correct some of your sentences about Hindu Bali we worship one god and hes called Sang Hyang Widhi and you clearly can see by the padmasana (very high throne) in our temple called pura brahma, wisnu, siwa etc is just his manifestation of form our holly day are not the same, we celebrate siwalatri, saraswati but not durga puja (like what is that? ive never heard of that holy day) we dont celebrate holy, divapali etc we celebrate Saka new year with our famous silent day (nyepi) about food, we dont really know indian food but yeah we do eat rice, and interestingly we eat beef too (only certain people are not allowed to eat beeff like balinese hindu priest, but most of the priest i know do eat chicken or duck) most of the balinese hindu are meat eaters compared to indian which most of its people are vegetarian Balinese hindu is mix between majapahit hindu, buddha, and local costum and beliefs no offense but we dont really like to be called the same like indian hindu 😅

@jqwiiiiqqirmnsnnsnnsnnsmjjrj2 жыл бұрын
Brother there was no caste system in India before 1860. The Britishers mixed our jatis(tribes) and the varna system (i.e Brahmin/Kshatriya/Vaishya/Shudra) and gave specific gotras more power than others to form the wretched caste system. We always had the varna system which many people confuse with the caste system but that system allowed you to choose. And you're wrong on a lot of things about Hinduism itself. Most Bali Hindus don't eat beef and Indian Hindus in Kerala eat beef. And there are many types of Hinduism in the indian subcontinent itself. We don't all have Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva as our supreme gods. Sang Hyang Widhi Wasa is literally equivalent to the metaphysical concept of Brahman in Indian Hinduism. I can see from from your comment that you don't know much about this religion.
