I think Jeep needs to go back to their roots and make vehicles for the average person. Drop prices across the lineup and stop being the American Range Rover brand. I miss the days in the not too distant past where you could buy a basic Wrangler and not have to get a 84 month loan to pay for it.

YES!! Both Jeep & Ram! Corporate & Dealers NEED to STOP being DELUDED about their seriously AGING ANTIQUATED FLEET of vehicles and its Technology! Minus a few vehicles & the GC like my comment states. But even it's technically been 3.5 yrs since the intro of the 4X3, 4 yrs soon enough. The Premium price tag they are DEMANDING Plus the deluded dealerships who over priced the vehicles MORE BY THOUSANDS & THOUSANDS it's like come on Mopar! There's a REAL REASON MOST OF YOUR DEALERSHIPS HAVE SIGNIFICANT BACK UP OF VEHICLES! & It's NOT JUST BC THEIR CRAP RELIABLITY! BC YOUR FANS DONT GAF About that😂(btw I'm not a sycophant of the brand)But they DO care about the Serious Over Priced of EVERY VEHICLE! & Dealers who drop to What they once Were on a Now 2 yr Old Vehicle Still Nope! Drop it More! Had they not been Greedy in the Extreme to begin with, they'd be doing alright 😂 I love the new GC as is & innovation comes with cost. Fine. But 2 yrs later that needs to adjusted. It's not new anymore. Their brand is so far in the Hole, they Should be Giving cars away to solid buyers with money/credit for real world prices. Not deluded prices for a Bankrupting Company

@@estebandelasmontanas4879 that is a bit too old school for most LOL, but I like your thinking. I have a JK and it is the last one most likely as it is still pretty simple (only one computer and no start/stop etc.). I might consider a Bronco, but those engine bays are a nightmare of complexity, too

If I was getting a new Jeep Grand Cherokee, I would order a 2 row Overland with the off-road package. You would get A/T tires, ELSD (Quadradrive), skid plates, tow hooks, and better departure/approach. The advantage over the Trailhawk trim is that you can still get it with the V6. The Trailhawk is only available in 4XE for 2023. I would like to see a longer track record on those as well as a lower price before I would get the 4XE. However, in the end I am going to keep my '21 Trailhawk V6 for some time. I feel like I stole it (compared to prices today) when I bought it in 2/21 for $42.5k inclusive of the Protech II package.

In my 17 Cherokee the modes make a difference. Especially since I have the 2.4l and it is very sluggish IMO, if you hit the brakes and then back to the gas, unless you have it in sport mode. Then the throttle is very responsive and no delays. In snow mode you have to use a lot more throttle to accelerate than in normal mode, and the traction control is very aggressive.
@sonsofliberty3081
@sonsofliberty3081 Жыл бұрын
It's not that it's sluggish. It's ment to help unstudy feet get good mpg. Sport mode increases throttle sensitivity. When you feel snow mode, it's cutting torque big time because that's what makes you spin.

I have the exact vehicle you tested in this video. This is my 3rd JGC. Yes, it is expensive, but nice luxury, quiet ride, and lots of room. I went with the HemiV8 (pretty bad gas mileage), but wanted towing capability and the added space for gear and dog. I agree with your comment that the factory tires, although nice on the pavement, are lacking for off roading (really lacking for serious off roading). As you mentioned this vehicle is great for getting to that campground spot, fishing spot, trail head, etc. It is certainly capable for easy and moderate off roading. For serious off-roading (not my thing) I agree going with the two row would be better and investing in off road tires. Nice review from TSL. Thanks!

I have the L version and a pretty standard size garage. Fits fine with room to spare front and rear. It looks a fair bit bigger, but the L is only 12 to 15 inches longer than the non L model. I really like the added cargo space inside. I don't really need three rows, but with the 2nd and 3rd row seats folded, there is a ton of room inside. I could camp in it if I had to. I got the Limited trim.

Liked the test. Good Video. I was able to get my 2021 Limited GC with the 5.7 at a fair price. Had to take the visa roof for 2k I did not want. Had to wait 6 months for it. And I still think 50k was too much money. But looking at today's GC, mine is a steal. Jeep has now over priced it's vehicles. They only can sell them to the smaller population of buyers that can afford them. I guess they want to use the high profit margin on these vesicles to pay for the R&D for the electric fleet. Only problem is that they will not have the enough customers in volume that can afford the product. I hate to say it but I will buy a Camry LE Hybrid as a daily driver and rent a Jeep a few times a year when I need it and save big money.

I was a bit disappointed in the slip test and off road performance of this Jeep. The exclusion of the ordered limited slip differential was a real game changer here in overall performance. The slippy sliddy tires are an easy fix. (What’s a $2,000 set of tires on a $70,000 Jeep?) but the missing rear differential locker, limited suspension articulation and lower approach and departure angles do hurt. The expensive trail rash on the front and rear bumpers is going to be a thing. I would like to see a more minimal spec Grand Cherokee L with better ground rubbing front and rear bumpers and good old fashioned easily accessible tow hooks installed. (Make them chrome plated because Grand Cherokee gets more bling!)

Too many high end trim levels most people can’t afford. Try a Laredo.

Why would you expect tires that are off-road oriented in any way, when the vehicle was specifically ordered to be less off-road capable?

It's odd how vehicles are so expensive. But how do you buy used nowadays with computer everywhere and screens that go out. I mean this would be what used after 3yrs? 50k? Now how do you spend 50k on no warranty knowing you will spend about 3k every few years to have new tech just like phones etc..?

61000 for a base 4xe, and it is awesome. 1,000 miles on 19 gallons of fuel, that is 52mpg! Yeah, I charge it, and guess what, it will get me to work.

More rain than we’d seen for a thousand years caused financial joys and biblical fears, caused some smiles, caused sone tears, but more to the point of the story; for the first time in the collective memory that old brown prairie that had been so dry for so long was very muddy. Boggy. Sticky.

Yes, that would be only 2005-2011 with the Quadra-Drive-II package. Jeep dropped the front ELSD in 2012. Was it too capable vs base JK to leave it?
