I’ve had to pull a Can-Am out of the snow with my RZR because the DRIVER didn’t have a clue. I live in Sierra Nevada Mountains, and we get lots of snow (most of the time), and I’ve seen the crapiest Vehicles go where the most equipped vehicles couldn’t just because of the loose nut behind the steering wheel.

That's how it was designed; A " *_UNI_*versal - *_MO_*tor - *_G_*erät" (Universal Motor (Powered) Device). Right after WW II, mainly farmers needed a reliable and cheap tractor-like vehicle with 'Swiss Army Knife' capabilities. That's why it had portal-axles (to effectively utilize smaller diameter (and cheaper) wheels and tires), one or more PTO points, and hydraulic connections. The gear reduction at the wheels (portal-axle) allowed small powered engines deliver lots of power to the wheels without much stress on the drive shafts, a huge benefit in cost reduction at the time. It was (and still is) the 'mountain goat' of 'normal' vehicles.

well, Unimog, it's not just have high power, The Unimog's characteristic design element is its chassis :- a flexible ladder frame with short overhangs, and coil sprung beam portal axles with a central torque tube and transverse links. Having portal axles, the tyres' centres are below the axle centre, which gives the Unimog a high ground clearance without big tyres. The coil sprung axles with torque tubes allow an axle angle offset of up to 30°, giving the tyres a wide range of vertical movement to allow the truck to comfortably drive over extremely uneven terrain, even boulders of one metre in height.💪

Yes I do analyze things like this. I have been on a lot of off road product video shoots and I know what it takes to market your product. But I could have been more believable. If you go slow instead of just flooring it you could pack the snow and not bury it, possibly just a thought.

You should try a set of super ATV assassinators or some silverback gorilla by high Lifter tires on your Maverick, they are mud tires but go through snow very well no chains needed they would have picked up speed going through that snow!

The 'mog did not need chains to get through there. Don't know why he bothered putting them on.

Thank you for comparing apples to oranges. A vehicle you can live in verses a toy. Next week drag race. Top fuel dragster verses a motorhome? Don’t get me wrong I love this channel.
