Basically, be strong and enduring for your height and body weight. Also be at an optimal body fat that athletes perform at, which would be 10-15%. Would you guys base optimal weight based on the BMI scale though? I’m 5’8 weighing in at 160 at 10% body fat. PST Scores: 09:00 swim, 90 Push ups, 90 Sit Ups , 21 pull ups and an 08:30 run. I’m lifting 2-3 days a week just maintain strength.

what about it? There are plenty of people this size to make it through BUDS and fail BUDS. Did you see our Wrestler Prepares for BUDS podcast?

You mentioned your weights in the video--190-95 (Stew) and 250 (Jeff), and you both made it through at those weights. To get an idea what builds for two successful BUD/S graduates these weights translate into, what are your heights?

I made it thru at 195 - Jeff was also 195 -200 when going through BUDS.

Are there any performance markers aside from the PST that you would recommend to gauge preparedness? Such as be able to tread for x amount of time with weight, hold x amount overhead, etc?

John Get Strong legs and back. Tree trunk legs are the best

Good question: I would say 10 min tread no hands, 3 min overhead static hold 45-50# - multiple sets. Did you see the podcast on the TFR 33 - Scores for HellWeek Success? See those for more ideas.
