Cause you were living when this mod takes place. We would be in the middle of that and experience what could have been the worst case scenario. Most HoI 4 players weren't around the Cold War much less the 60s so there's less hitting close to home since you wouldn't have found yourself there to worry about the state of things.

The best mod, pretty neat feeling of going through the mod, no matter the nation you choose (as long as it is packed with content already). So well done, so great vibes. Aesthetics and overall care for details in this mod are insane. Also it can't be hyped and not become overhyped like some Kaiserreich or TNO.

I mean Kaiserreich is pretty good and there is nothing overhyped about it, its incredible and right now has more content than The Fire Rises. It also existed for a very long time and the detail and content is incredible, it deserves all the attention it has. TNO on the other hand...oh boy that isn't even a playable mod. One can just go read a book, I recently had a TNO playthrough of a Russian warlord faction and then I realized that as a player you actually can't do anything at all. Economy cannot be influenced. Buildings cannot be made unless you love changing things in the 1-5% range for virtually no impact. Military comes from economy, which like I mentioned cannot be influenced by the players choice in meaningful ways. Focuses are meaningless unless you enjoy reading 30 different laws that you also cannot change and affect things in the 1-5% range. (Oh yeah politics are also meaningless since the player cant change them) So what do you do? click events, go through your focus and...wait? In TFR I can actively influence my country in every way. Sure focuses do alot and buffs help alot but I as a player have room to play.

Literally the best thing this game has ever received imo. Despite relying heavily on scripts, this is the only mod that managed to spark the same interest I once had when was just starting to learn the game

From what I see in some paths once you are done with the path you can freely declare war later on, I know Russia under Nawalny later gets the rule to freely war countries so it looks like that only until you are done with your "story" you are locked in scripts But yeah there is no "endgame" content now for the big power blocks so we have to see what will happen, new update is certainly nice

Easily the best mod i have ever played. It is not even close. Seriously, with mods like tno it doesnt feel like hoi4 anymore, while my personal 2nd kaiserredux i feel is too close to hoi4 to the point where it feels more like a sandbox rather than a game that revolves around geopolitics . Not even mentioning millenium dawn which is, ib. My opinion, just shit. This mod strikes the balance beautifully. The lore is great and realistic at some points and wacko in some (but thats usually fine since those paths won't really happen without player intervention) but there isnt too much of it. You dont get 600 new events per focus. You usually get 1 but that 1 event gives you so much insight and is infinitely more valuable than anything other mods have to offer. The gameplay is great, it is incredibly satisfying to build your nation up, its because this game has such an insanely good power system. when america descends into civil war a power vacuum is opened and really any of the nations you play can fill it. It ends up as a struggle for that seat of power which i really really like. You also get to solve actually realistic crises like the oil crisis and its causes arent just told via events you actually see on the map why and how it happened. There is just such an insane amount of immersion for a map painter. Not even getting into the absolute banger focus trees and how this mod has some of the best focus tree continuation that has ever been produced in hoi4. Focus trees if you win, lose, different ideologies based on who you lose to. Just insane. Every single person in the dev team from the soundtrack builders to the writers to the focus tree makers did an absolutely fantastic job on every level. Could not sing this mod high enough praises.
