pro tip: keep an eye on opponent's fatigue bar, when it maxes out hit them once to make them catch their breath then hit them with your ultimate. you will never lose that way

This game was so underrated. It had some problems, but it was the first DBZ game on 360/PS3. Also it is the only game, that I know of, that Sean said Son Goku. Also Dimps, the developers of Budokai and Xenoverse, made this. But slower Budokai? The only thing fast about Budokai was dragon rush. Just the flying was slow in this game.

It actually really bums me out that we never got a Burst Limit 2. This was a great starting off point for a new Budokai-esque trilogy of games! Outside of improvements (such as the dash speed that Grant brought up), there was also the Buu saga that they skipped in this game, all those characters from that arc to bring in. And some of the movies too, as well as GT if they wanted to. Side note, please tell me Kirran turns up at some point during this LP. You two are fine, but the three of you are better.

Tien actually gets the first saibaman fight, before Yamcha even, and vegeta ends up killing after it gets crippled just to be all "oh geez" he's ruthless" Also, I think those Saibaman opening animations are ripped from Budokai 3. Also, to be fair to Yamcha, while he probably wasn't as strong as Krillin or Tien by the saiyan arrival, he was at least strong enough to have beaten the saibaman, he just got way too cocky and turned his back

Dude! Ten Shin Han was the FIRST to fight a Saibaman! He totally pwned it, and it was during this short fight that the saibaman used the acid attack! Then Vegeta killed it (he pointed at it, and interestingly it didn't explode but implode and fell appart gruesomely) for being a failure. Then it was Yamcha's turn and, well, we all remember what happened then.

This is probably my favorite DBZ fighting game. I love the way it looks, that opening theme is awesome, and the while the gameplay seems slow at first, there's a lot of awesome looking stuff to be done when you get into the meat of the mechanics and how the game works. That and the story mode here is great, letting you play as the appropriate character for the fight your in. It's just all sorts of magical to me!

I actually like how Piccolo plays in this game especially with his away-Y and forward-Y combo strings. I think his X combos would be better if they weren't stretchy but I love his Y combos. If the dynamic camera gets to be a problem for you (like it was for me), you can always turn it off in Settings. I always wondered: Piccolo said he originally made the Makankosappo with two arms in mind, so if you're going to keep both arms, why not have some fun and make up a two-handed Special Beam Cannon? I keep hoping with... what? Two DragonBall games coming out every year, that they would make an M-rated DragonBall game that wasn't super gory but allowed Piccolo, Tien, and Future Gohan to lose their left arms, that Piccolo shot a hole through Goku and Raditz, that Frieza gets bifurcated by his own disks, and Trunks actually dices up Frieza. I want a game that feels true to the source material. It's why I want Attack of the Saiyans. I agree that these models look way better than Xenoverse, which is funny since Dimps made both. The Saibaman Tien fought was the "coward" Vegeta killed before Yamcha got his turn. If you get the chance, go into Training or Versus and pick the Saibamen. Their away-Y is ridiculous. Or was it forward-Y? The Spirit Ball has to be inputted repeatedly to work. You have to control it.

Had a 360 and got this game, and it was just a bad experience compared to the budokai series. It felt slower, the drama pieces were confusing to get to work half the time despite the triggers going off; slowed the fight down immensly. The fatigue meter was a stupid clinch mechanic that would often screw you over on higher difficulties; having to manage three different pieces in order to win was just a tedious task while trying to just fist fight would often get you stomped in your face. The game did not hold up well in my opinion. As Lani said in the beginning - Mediocre

Burst Limit's battle system is based off of that of Shin Budokai, the PSP DBZ games. What you said is correct in that it's basically budokai/budokai 2/budokai 3. The main difference is that when using attacks like Kamehameha, thing won't pause. Your opponent can still act while you charge your attack. Additionally, Ultimates are performed by pressing B and Up. Also, your regular specials don't consume KI. That's really the main things you need to know about this game. Have fun guys. Also, please remember to mix X and Y buttons with your combos. Or the original 4 Xs and then a Kamehameha/B + forward.

Personally, I always thought a Saibaman transformation would basically entail them actually growing, and gaining nutrients like a normal plant. That, or multiple Saibamen just combine into one beastly form, like what Piccolo does after using the Multi-Form technique, but this time it's a fusion.

My non-canon Saibaman transformation is that they sprout out mutated, plant-like creatured from their heads that look similar to Second Form Frieza's but with a ripped apart, upside-down Saibaman head husk for the head.

Saga's is terrible.. But saga's had nothing.. No promise. Little fun. Broken mechanics. And terrible design choices... The theme of dragon ball is basically just layered ontop of it. This game is the most disappointing. Objectively, it works.. But with HOW OFTEN IT STOPS THE COMBAT? it makes it's wannabe-budokai style into a chore and I remember that I could never get past ginyu because I just had zero fun. Saga's could at least use a new perspective (shitty as it was) but Raging Blast? I see no value
