But choking requires MUCH less power, Mind Tricks require A LOT of power depending on the person/creature it's used on. For example, any Jedi could mind trick a bug, but as the creatures gain more willpower, it becomes tougher, that's why some giant creatures can mind tricked easier than sentient life forms.

Now I would agree that manipulating someone's mind through a telecom would probably be metagame status but it would be theoretically possible. Though probably only anikan, yoda, and people like earth bane and nihlus would be able to perform such feats but it should be possible with enough concentration. Kreia could maybe do it too.

Star Wars Nerd moment: The ship you are talking about in the beginning is a experimental Delta Class Jedi Star Fighter they used before the Revenge of the Sith Eta Class Interceptor model that would later inspire the Tie Fighter. You are kind of correct as they would later use the design as inspiration for the A-Wing model.

I loved this game! I remember it being harder, and I definitely remember a 3rd person option. The Jedi was the least fun to play as, but from the 3rd or 4th mission onwards you could play as Nym and some of his crew. As I recall, Nym was my favourite.

I played Star Wars: Starfighter, the prequel to this game, a lot as a kid. I never beat though. there was *supposed* to be feature called advanced weapons, which were much more powerful than your secondary weapons. you'd fire them by pressing shift and then the fire button, but for some reason it never worked for me. I didn't mind, as I could beat the levels without it...except one. there was one level where you *had* to use Nym's advanced weapon to destroy an enemy ship before it leaves a planet. I couldn't get the weapon to fire, so i'd never destroy the ship in time and i'd always lose. pissed me off. still a pretty good game though
