Both he and Ewan are deeply committed to their roles. It means so much to the fans when actors so actively petition for and champion the shows they were in. They both also very obviously enjoy performing together and that friendship makes all the difference as well. Kenobi S1 had problems but I still want to see an S2, however unlikely that may be. I was amazed how much a simple re-editing could do to redeem Kenobi and there are several excellent fanedits on YT that improve various scenes beyond recognition. Even the otherwise rather slow and awkward final duel between Obi-wan and Anakin becomes powerful and gripping. If the producers took those lessons on board an S2 could change the fan discontent entirely. Plus the opportunity for a live action introduction of Cal Kestis and Merrin would be nice given their deep connection to the Hidden Path. I was a bit disappointed they were not given a cameo when Obi-wan was on Jabiim.

If anything it's because we didn't see ENOUGH of him that it was left a bit lackluster. He needed fleshing out, his story was not satisfying in the prequels but we know that it should be. So we want Hayden and Anakin to get the treatment they deserve to redeem this.

She was great they need to do better with her fighting choreography though. When she was parrying blaster shots she was just holding her lightsaber still. And the movements looked really unnatural, but that's less on her. And more in the direction

Yeah the only good one was the actual flashback with the small ahsoka. And since Feloni does not seem to be capable of doing anything other than the Clone Wars stuff, a live action series that focuses hard on the cartoons just as live action with her would make alot of sense, unless Disney feels risky again, which most likely would be a massive mistake... the guy is good at doing small episodic content for kids and nostalgic adults that just want some more star warsy stuff, so this live action clone wars in a similar fashion should be a no brainer.

This is such a nerd rant but am I the only one who thought Vader's fighting style in Kenobi , especially the fight with the inquisitor, was awful and didn't fit Vader's character? Why was Vader dancing around her 😂😂 that is NOT how he fights. He's inhumanly strong and a cyborg. Vader being able to tank so much damage is what makes him scary. He doesn't dance around you, he walks you down and chops at you with inhuman strength

He is so powerful that he doesn’t even need a lightsaber to defeat a trained Jedi killer. All he needs is the force. And when he actually uses a lightsaber. He strikes her down in mere seconds. His fighting style was perfect. It showed just how powerful he was with the force. And why he was so feared. Vader has much more to him than cave man swinging lol. Yes. He doesn’t usually “dance” around his opposer. But if you actually stopped to think for a few seconds. He did that to show Reva just how powerful he was. To show her that she stood no chance. He was merely toying with her. Telling her that her betrayal was pointless and that she would never be powerful enough to accomplish her goal.

That just isn't true though is it? SC is reportedly the least watched Star Wars content ever made, even less than The Acolyte. I think most Star Wars fans would gladly sacrifice SC, Acolyte, Andor etc existing For proper live action clone wars. "But Disney has to make money" is said in this video as if any of these shows made a dime outside of mando. They might even make some money from toys again if it was anakin, yoda, obi wan rather than the Disney rubbish and I guarantee the viewership would handily beat down those other shows. It's wild they would gamble away $300m on unknown characters but won't stump up a similar budget for an easy win with clone wars.

I'm glad you mention how much people loved seeing live action clone wars flashbacks. In addition to George Lucas making the show at a loss which laid the groundwork for the nostalgia to see the live action with such a positive response in the Ahsoka series. I feel like all they have to do is show a few more short flashbacks with Obi Wan suggesting to Anikin to make the holotapes with a full conversation about how Ahsoka is young and there is much to teacher her. In addition to them being in a war, never knowing if their next battle will be their last, Anikin taking Obi's advice to record information during the war that he wants to tell her as an adult if the unthinkable happens. This would be a nice tidy reason why the tapes exist in the first place and why they are seemingly directed to an adult Ahsoka. But where in the lore of clone wars would you have Anikin making the tapes? Another way is all the tapes are warm-ups for Anikin to workout what he plans to say to Ahsoka. Could be the tapes are Anikin walking around Obi Wan recording what lessons he wan't to teach. There could easily be an extended version of some of these tapes that show Anikin saying, "How did I do?" Then have Obi walk into the holographic frame embracing Anikin.... while present tense Ahsoka looks on and smiles about how close the two were. Could even have the dialog between Obi and Anikin trail into a word-for-word conversation taking place in the animated clone wars. Imagine the two of them recording while Ahsoka isn't in the room or just before a pivotal scene that resonates with a present day problem for Ahsoka. This could easily flow into a flashback scene that was in animated clone wars but started with a holotape recording being watched by Ahsoka, then transitions through the hologram to the live action Obi and Anikin, and then to a clone wars event that includes young Ahsoka in a full flashback scene.

Yeah, that would be a good idea to have Freddie Prinz as a live action Kanan, but it would have to be a different person playing Ahsoka and not Rosario Dawson's Ahsoka because remember the Ahsoka series takes place years AFTER REBELS, so during the timeline of Kanan being alive, Ahsoka would have to be the specific age for that timeline, it's one of the many flaws trying to make a Flashback work, Filoni was lucky when he did it season 1 of Ahsoka because he found the right person to play a young Ahsoka.

@@tolkienblack Ahsoka was ~32-33 years old during Rebels S2. Rosario is 45. They managed to de-age Hayden to his early twenties in the flashbacks. Around 12 years for Rosario shouldn't be hard, she still looks amazing. And Rebels Ahsoka definetly looks like Rosario in canon, since we saw the Rebels Epilogue in live action. Ariana is way too young for Rebels Ahsoka.

Love seeing those BTS shots of Hayden, he seems like such a good guy. Even as someone who doesn't love the prequels and only casually follows clone wars era content, I still find it absolutely criminal that Disney hasn't jumped on a live action Clone Wars movie. I don't buy the budget argument, it could easily be done at maybe 1.5 the unit cost of these series, it just needs capable writers that are budget conscious. Action and effects don't need to be huge. And a more reserved script that doesn't inundate the viewer with over the top set-pieces is something these characters sorely deserve. Just because it would take place during the clone wars doesn't mean we need to be in the middle of giant ground, air, and space battle. A more personal and character driven side mission set during the clone wars would be a far better direction, IMO.

How cool would it be to see a scene with the older Ahsoka around Luke again ( b/c we know they know each other now.) and she tells him Clone War stories, like they're around a camp fire (or something) talking about they're Masters. Throw in another flash back scene (reenacted from original movie) with Luke telling Ahsoka how they got on the Death Star and about Ben's death.

If this comment can find Dave Filoni.. In Ahsoka series when you introduce the Abeloth character. Let her be as dark and evil as in the books. You can even have Luke come in and defeat her. Which would be great if Luke was working with Ahsoka to defeat the mortis mother. If you don't cross over with Luke, then you must use a fully realized Anakin as the chosen one to show up in a time of need for his padawan and whip Abeloth as only the chosen one can. With the greatest uses of the force to destroy her. Then hopefully this will be the catalyst for great Star Wars movies. Another Idea; Do a 9 part movie on the Yuuzhan Vong invasion and War. But have it done in the Legends Universe where you can use the Solo twins, Anakin Solo, Luke, Mara Jade ect.. Just re cast younger versions of character. The legends books have great stories, everyone would love to see them come to life.

I think people would love a mature (but not gritty!) re-telling of The Clone Wars, with serious character drama and actions with dire consequences. It would be a great backdrop to explore moral dilemmas, Battlestar Galactica style. There is already enough Star Wars content out there aimed at kids and teenagers. A live-action Clone Wars show does not need to be battle and action-oriented. It can follow the mold of the first two seasons of Game of Thrones, where major fight sequences are skipped over. What people really want to see are the smaller fights between individual characters people care about. Disney could also do a whole new setting at a much earlier or much later point in the timeline and make THAT into the adult-oriented imagining of Star Wars. Don't tell me there isn't a huge market for this. Every 70s, 80s and 90s kid is waiting for a Star Wars for adults.

Andor is worth the massive budget though. I mean, out of ALL of Disney produced StarWars since they started making content after the acquisition, Rogue 1 + Andor have been the best they’ve produced. It’s obvious that the writers, directors, producers, actors/actresses, SFX people, make up crew, costume crew, background and prop crew, sound FX and sound design crew, etc. ALL are top notch in their field, and are true fans of StarWars. Not only that they’ve proven they are HIGHLY capable of producing the BEST StarWars content we’ve ever seen in the modern era. They’ve proven that it is entirely possible to make great if not amazing StarWars media somewhat detached from the skywalkers and still be loved by fans and received well by new audiences. I’d give that team like a billion dollars and tell them to bring me the start to a new trilogy. They’d knock that shit out of the park 100%.

Skeleton Crew is one of the biggest surprises I have had in a while. After Acolyte. I was nearly done with Star Wars. I went into SC thinking it was going to be some cheesy show aimed at kids. But I was pleasantly surprised. The creature diversity is awesome. Jod is amazing. Brutus is awesome. SM-33 is awesome. And just the overall vibe of the show is awesome. It actually feels like Star Wars. And while the kids can be quite cheesy at times. They are not that unbearable. Compared to whoever the main character was of Acolyte(seriously can’t remember her name), they are quite bearable.

Imo Ashoka was nowhere near the same level as mando s1 and 2 or andor but it was still watchable and I liked it enough because it felt like s4 of rebels but live action. I think the reason people shit on it was because these days there are a portion of starwars fans who just jump on the hate train for Disney starwars which is fair enough for the sequels and acolyte and arguably the book of boba fett but Ashoka,Mando s3 and now skeleton crew aren’t bad they’re just not necessarily as good as pre Disney starwars. I just hope that KK gets the boot soon enough and someone like Jon faveru or Dave filoni can direct LucasFilm in a better direction.

The problem with introducing Starkiller to the cannon is that Starkiller was ridiculously OP in the games, so if they make him the same, that kind of makes other people look weak that shouldn't. Not that Disney cares about the cannon... However, Sam Witwer does and I don't think he'd let it fly... At least not in the same form.

I’m gonna be 100% honest, I don’t like Starkiller as a character. I feel that he is unnecessarily overpowered and also I struggle to see palpatine managing to not sense Vader having an apprentice. Especially one as powerful as Starkiller. (Also I like to think that anakin would avoid another apprentice after feeling that he failed ahsoka after seeing her lightsaber left at the crash site leaving him to assume her death

I love Starkiller and Sam Witwer in general, but there's no reason to make Starkiller canon because even if they due it will result in one of two things: A: Starkiller is way too OP for canon so he would make nearly every other character just look like a powerless bum, including Anakin/Vader. B: Starkiller gets heavily nerfed (which kinda ruins most of what I, and many people loved about Starkiller in the Force Unleashed games)

Man, people really need to put more respect on Lucas! Love or hate the Prequels, he did what the fck he wanted for his universe and didn't care about money. Running The Clone Wars at a loss is pure passion for getting his stories out there. If Disney actually cared, I think they could make a live action Clone Wars, regardless of big cost. And if it's written WELL, then I believe it will make money. But they don't care enough to make good Star Wars, they want rushed Star Wars.

Was it at a loss though? The dude kept all merchandising rights as part of Star Wars a new hope with Fox. Most don't get that and animated SW clone wars made tons of toys. Maybe technically the show ran at a loss, but I bet he made it up on the back end with the toys/merchandise from those shows.

I love how we've now seen the Obi-Wan post order 66 message in animation, video games, and live action. I would like to see a bigger version of this shared experiance. Like tales of the jedi, Ahsoka S2, Kenobi S2, jedi survivor 3, and a live action clone wars special all show [flashback if necessary] to the same & day and room from different angles of something like a jedi temple ceremony.

I think you could do like a movie or something like that with Anakin, obi wan, or Ashoka stranded on a planet, somewhere in live action and make it a one off. But as far as I see it, we got the animated series which I’m thankful for and we have the prequel trilogy. I mean, unless we wanted another season of clone wars, which I guess they can do, I don’t think a full on live action series for clone wars is really on the table or make that much sense quite honestly. But yeah, as long as you did before Hayden gets far into his 50s or ewan gets past 60 I do think that a live action clone wars in next five years is something that should be considered. Make it like a side, quest or some thing in the timeline

I'm so glad Hayden and Ewan are both coming back. This makes me VERY happy! Also, replacing Ray with Rory is AWESOME! I love that they were good friends in real life so it's a good buddy playing his fallen pal, good way to show homage. I respect and love that! That said... I WISH Disney would green light a Clone Wars live action tv show. Expensive or not. Disney can afford it. I know they’re most likely doing Clone Wars flashbacks (especially with the confirmation of young Ashoka) but I’d really prefer it if they focused on Obi Wan and Anakin as force ghosts in season 2. Disney canon has been short on that, and this series is the perfect place for it. Plus, you can add Frank Oz and have ghost Yoda appear and have them all discuss the Mortis stuff.

Sam Witwer as the Son would be AMAZING. The only issue though is he's dead lol but I get it, it could be a Force Ghost or a flashback. In any case, Sam is just as much the face of SW as Luke or Anakin as far as I'm concerned. He represents the exact amount of passion and understanding of the characters that everyone involved should have. Not that you have to be a SW guru to be in SW, but it freaking helps o.o

If I could make one change to our timeline, it would be for the Prequel Trilogy to have just been Anakin, Obi-Wan, Ahsoka, and Rex from the get-go. Phantom Menace and the discovery of the Clone Army could be conveyed as the first half of the first movie, and a couple of flashbacks. Then you just get 2.5 movies of Clone Wars and still make the tv show to cover stories that the movies didn’t have time for. Cuz let’s be real, the Clone Wars is the most versatile and interesting period to tell stories and show cool battles.

The main reason I feel Andor was great even with the cost was because each episode was more then 40+ minutes and there was 12 episodes. The flaw with the other shows is the run times especially when they told us expect Netflix type of runtimes

@jossynda more like Disney didn't bother much on the combat for that. Hayden was trained and practiced for hours with Ewan for the Prequels. Rosario couldn't keep up with him and the directors had to ask him to slow down since he could move far too fast for the cameras to catch it

This sounds awesome, the actres who played young ashoka is awesome. I also would really want to see a flashback scene of Anakin in the Jedi Temple. Hayden already is one of the best duelist so it should be no problem with the proper coreagraphy. I would be an awesome scene for an obiwan season 2 since obi wan saw what happen back in rots.
