It fits the theme perfectly also, bearing in mind this is supposed to be their true "Runeterran" versions, where skins are supposed to be alternate reality versions essentially. Also shows how dope the artists that create the original characters are also, LOL wouldn't be close to as big of a franchise if it wasn't for how well they've built & designed the champ pool.

Honestly I think sometimes the changes are too substantial. This is the only game where you can build up so much skill and then just fall off so hard. Legit fall from GM/masters to like Plat at the beginning of each set and it’s kinda not fun to drop off that hard

@@Radarssbm Yeah, but this game's player count basically depends on their ability to make big, meaningful, balanced and fun changes consistently. Essentially, the game is meant to feel like a new game every 3 or so months. Also, if someone is dropping from GM/masters to hardstuck plat just because the set changed, they don't deserve to be GM/masters in TFT anyways. TFT is about adapting to what you get, not about OTP'ing a comp to GM. You can do that if you have fun doing it, just don't expect it to be consistent

@@TGMS77 I never said I was hard stuck lol… I said your skill level drops down and you have to relearn so much that fundamentals cant carry you. The same isn’t true for added content in other games You have to learn all the new comps, all the nuances of positioning, strongest board, etc. I totally agree that they should have lots of new stuff, but the sheer amount of new stuff they add…I’m not sure it needs to be that significant. It might help to retain some tank units or something, or keep a boring trait like defender (and keep it the exact same name, not just add a similar trait) so that the switch to a new set isn’t as jarring. Doing some small changes to make it 75% different, instead of 90% (where everything but items and some augments change) would help imo

this set feels hella complicated. so much going on with each trade. not just some buffs, many extra units that come onto the board, some extra buff items, positioning etc.

@@sokraaaaaan yeah i know, ive played since set 4 i think or maybe 3.5 ... but this time it kinda feels like it will get harder for the casual player to understand all the new traits and mechanics. mostly it was like 2-3 traits that had extra stuff, but this time its way more. not saying its bad, just might be a little harder for the casual player. but atleast they made things also easier, like seeing what champs there are on carussel etc

@@FlexNiko more complicated mechanics but better QOL. there is a huge amount of information on each character, the items they use, and the stats they gain when you click on them. its super beginner friendly now.
