Costas spartan,you my friend are my exact demographic of people.I agree with every syllable of every word you have said.George Andrew Romero will always be a cult classic magician working with little money,and making truly priceless films.However... Tom Savini's remake,and all original directorial debuts afterward will always have the exact same notoriety because not only was he hand picked by George,he also became a VERY close family friend,and so I say...Who says dreams don't come true?!?

1990 remake is soo much better than the original. This & The Return of the Living Dead are at the absolute top, not just in the Horror genre, but one of the greatest movies of all-time... The eerie music & sound-effects, the gradual build-up, the atmosphere of being alone & helpless in the country... Incredible movie.

I liked it more than the original too lol. Also Patricia still looks great! I had this on VHS back in the day, ultimate nostalgia flick! I miss the 90's man.

Thanks for sharing this! It is so great to discover this reunion. I was discovering Romero's original zombie oeuvre around the time this remake came out, and I absolutely adored it - I couldn't understand why it wasn't a huge hit! It modernized the original for my generation, and (in my opinion) improved it without taking anything away from the original. To me, it just fit better with Dawn and Day than the original did. (And I loved the original, too! Don't get me wrong!) So it is great to see these folks together 30 years later.

As much as I loathe modern Hollywood, I would still love to see a deep fake remake with the original cast running into the 90's cast on this oh so special of nights. The drama would be so much fun.

Patricia Tallman did fantastic in her role as Barbara in the remake of Night of the Living Dead, and overall it is a very solid film. That said, I prefer Barbara in the original movie. The way she is so disturbed and in shock is realistic on a level that terrifies me. We all like to think that in a nightmare crisis, we would become the hero, but in reality, many of us would be in shock to the point of freezing up or just losing all rational thought.

The 1990 remake portrayed the feminist version of Barbara,the 1968 original version portrayed the realistic version of Barbara. Message.
