They didn't. they made motorhomes for European roads. just because the US motorhomes are way to big for our roads.

Series 10, episode 6 (18 November 2007). This RV was parked in the studio and used as a set up for a background shot, and also I believe at the end of the episode when they slid a car out from under it - or that was a different RV.

lol imo its not just about the facilities, but about mobility as well...afaik, in Europe, there are regulation in some countries on the width, many roads are quite narrow and the bigger RV would just be inconvenient, as good as it may seem. Though if one had to choose between them, with the route being wide and clear of regulations, obviously anyone would choose the bigger one

In Europe, the American RV would be about as mobile as a terraced house
