It was an old British tabloid newspaper that ran for the best part of a century and a half. Quite known for being very sensationalist and focusing mostly on celebrity scandal reporting for most of its life. Started going downhill in the mid-2000s when people accused them of hacking mobile phones to get stories (They kept hacking celeb's phones for news stories), then reached a breaking point in 2011 when it turned out they had hacked into the voicemail of a girl who had been murdered and deleted messages, basically giving false hope of her safety to her parents a decade earlier. Public backlash to this was immense, and most advertisers pulled out, so the paper closed in July that same year
