Hey Tony. I thought of you the other day when I saw a full size D100, slammed, long bed, with blown Big Block, run 4.86 @ 144 and change, in the 1/8. This was at Ozark. Take care, bud.

Just like a baby manual transmission except no synchronizers. A synchros job is to slow down or speed up the gear (on shaft) to the exact same speed to make latching onto it easy. Motorcycles don’t use synchros, just dogs that slide into matching rectangular holes just slightly bigger, the gear is already spinning the a same speed, called synchro-mesh running on two parallel shafts.

Hey I’m not judging just giving a little more knowledge and maybe I’m wrong. But the TG series takes two different kinds of slide clutches. One is for the “A69” and the other one is for like the “U68” for fullers. Since you are working on an Allison unit it take a slide clutch that have a deeper cut at the rim. The A69 clutch is a 49T38158 and the other common one is a 49T33959.

Good evening Question Once I turn off my PTO I’ll still hear the pto rattle even though it’s off. What could it be? I just replaced all wiring. Can anyone help me out please ?

Maybe the switch is bad and is not actually disengaging? Or the sliding clutch?
