TGB R50X Variator And New Project on Retrohax Channel

I have a 1976 Honda Novio PF50 4 stroke. It hadn't been running for about 35 years so I thought I'd give it a go at getting it going again. The carb was stuck solid so I stripped the carb down and gave it a really good clean and put it back together. I put in some fresh oil, cleaned the air filter, replaced the fuel lines as they were very brittle and just snapped when I tried to remove them, fresh fuel, new fuel tap, cleaned the spark plug and made sure there was a good spark. It started up on the 3rd kick after around 35 years. Honda build quality and reliability I suppose 😁😁👌👌

The pc 50 is a rare sight , only way they could be shifted back in the 70s was to chuck them in the quarry, about as desirable as a pint of Websters Pennine Bitter think it was brewed using Halifax canal water .

gees i love the little Honda martin..i cant wait to see her shine again. Just a thought and I'm talking about variable ratio drives in Yamaha quads, can you shim one of the pully plates to close the gap a little as it drives? we had trouble with the belts wearing the drive plates out so a small shim behind the inner plate seemed to keep us running.

If the belt is worn down as it’s thinner. It makes it les likely to climb to the top of the pulley. As the variator comes fully together.
