Mine says some numbers bu that blue line on the android app, is outside of that triangle, any ideea why ?

Won't turn on when the cable is attached to my Google Android phone. No red light. Does nothing. No directions or manual came with it either. Suggestions? Do I need a dedicated data cable? I wonder if that is the problem.
