Yes, Tilda Moustapha was originally a backup dancer and singer for Prince Nico Mbarga. She was part of his band, Rocafil Jazz, during the height of his career. As a member of the band, she performed alongside him in live shows and contributed to the overall stage presence of the group. After Prince Nico Mbarga's untimely death in a motorcycle accident in 1997, Tilda became more prominent as she took on the role of continuing his musical legacy by performing his songs. Her transition from being a backup performer to taking a lead role in performing Prince Nico's music allowed her to keep his iconic songs, such as "Sweet Mother," alive for fans across Nigeria and beyond.

@mfenaadisukibaba, Nico Mbarga is not related to Cameroon for the civil war, but because his father was from the french speaking Cameroon, a village called Issambong, if you know his songs you will recognize one of his titles related to this name. Besides, there is a lot of Ewondo (the langage of his father) in his songs. You are right, he is fully a nigerian musician, but we cameroonians are proud of him. Who says we should not? He is our blood! From a cameroonian who loves Nigeria.
