Finally someone acknowledges how mistreated fish is. Everytime i bring it up people say that it has support cause of cards that benefit them together with aquas and sea serpents but they absolutely need an archetype. Otherwise they don't have a reason to exist. It's a shame cause konami had a chance in zexal with shark being a main character. They need to make sharks an archetype asap

Out of the water trio (Aqua, Sea Serpent, Fish), only the Gisshiki which are sea serpents can be an archetype. But they aren't really that good...best you can do is mashing them together with some Sharks and atleanteans to get the xyz and some synchro

My comment pointed out that their are monster with types in their name that aren't that type, however it would daft to propose that a large portion of that type is like that(ex. Sword Arm of Dragon and Crawling Dragon #2 spring to mind as they are Dinosaurs, also Winged Dragon Guardian of the Fortress #2 is a Winged-Beast, in the Yu-Gi-Oh Forbidden Memories game which came out before the TCG rules were properly established you could fuse a lot of different monsters together without polymerization, yet these cards were still treated as dragons, there’s also a lot of machine dragons I guess so there must be loads more examples, maybe cause Blue Eyes is the most iconic Yu-Gi-Oh! card Konami tried to diversify the “dragons” more

I find it weird they decided to split up sea creatures into separate categories instead of just making one 'marine beast' type. I also find pyros, aquas, thunders, and rocks weird monster types to have in the game, period. They're all defined by association with an element, but the existence of attributes makes that feel redundant. Imo they could've just made one 'elemental' type and, if you wanted to make archetypes for specific elements, have the support cards say 'FIRE elemental', 'EARTH elemental', etc.

I'd like to see more support for Reptiles and Plants, and having some new support/ archetypes for Aqua, Pyro and Rock respectively would be nice. They could do a thing like with Aesirs where it was 1 large archetype with 3 subarchetypes within it, where the subs are devided by type, but the archetype as a whole is related to underwater volcanism/ the creation of landmasses.

Yeah I would like to see more of all of the under represented types so it’s a little more even out. I personally love playing warriors because once they go off they usually go off with a Big Bang, but I would personally like to see a little more variety with all the other types as well. Like seriously if we could get an archetype centered around divine beast that aren’t the god cards or anything like that but instead have various different gods and goddesses from different religious ideals and philosophies that somehow work together, that would be pretty neat to see as at least a rouge deck

I like Wyrms (True King/Yang Zing, Metaphys), Psychics (Mekk-Knight), and Dragons (Rokkets). And yes, there are no fish archetypes. White/White Aura is a series (No specific support cards), and the same goes for Sharks. Fishborgs technically have Fishborg Doctor, which has an effect that would technically make them an archetype, but there's only 5 of them (with one being banned), and Doctor itself is so bad it shouldn't even exist.

fiend are so high because of the early cards and anime normal cards from the very begining,spellcasters are so high because of the exodia cards fortune ladies have 2 forms and the charmer cards which have a version for each attribute plus the perfomapals which were arc v's protagonist cards,i guess the machine are so high as well because of yusei fudos cards,beast-warriors and winged-beasts usually go in a package cards that have effects for those type usually include both sometimes beasts as well, same goes for fish and seaserpents sometimes effects include aquas as well,so you can technically count those as 1 type.

From a creative point of views thinking of warriors and machines would be the easiest and something like Sea Serpent a lot more challenging. I do think there is a lot to go on with plants that hasn't been done so I'd go with more plants and beasts even though those aren't really my favourite types. Back in my highschool days, I used to play with an all-dragon deck in Tag Force 5 on the PS. Just like dragons, the stronger cards are quite hard to summon/control, especially with an 80-card max limit back in the day, and that was before Synchro Summons was a introduced.

There is one fish archtype-ish (only has 2 main deck monsters and 3 Extra deck monsters) for the fishes: the White Archtype. Also for Cyberse: Salamangreat, Marincess, Topologic, and (coming soon to TCG) Mathmech (called Zan-ki or Processlayer in OCG).

A pure Beast deck is indeed hard Lets continue the list xD 1 to 4 Ojama, Crystal beasts, Raccoons, Glad beasts. 5. Fabled (kinda) with popolair cards like Ganashia, Cerburrel, Nozoochee, Catshith, Chawa, synchros like Kudabbi and Unicore, etc. Given halve off the archetype is Fiends. 6. The Sphinxes off the Pyramide off light movie. 7. Chumley used a Koala deck/ Des kangaroo/ Master off Oz deck (his Deck from Down under). 8. You have the Key mouse, Lock cat and Chain dog trio. 9. You have the Mystical beast of the forests cards. 10 You have the pets off the Madolche archetype like Baaple, Chickolates (I thought this would be a winged-beast, it's not), Cruffssant, Hootcake (also suprising it's not a winged-beast) and Mewfeuille. Extra. I was thinking off Fur hires when I started off this list, but only 3 cards in that archetype are actually Beast type monsters, Just Donpa, Recon and Folgo.

I think there's 2 reasons why Dragons feel like they should be more plentiful. First, they're often boss/ace monsters, while other types have a higher percentage of weaker monsters. And also, there's a lot of "Dragons" that aren't actually dragon-type (like Cyber Dragon, Thunder Dragon etc...).

Dragon user since the duelist kingdom I have a deck for almost all dragon arch but have tried machine (cyber dragon arch) spellcaster (magician girl arch) beastwarrior (lunalight arch) and dinosaur (dinomist arch)

I would love to see a new Fish deck. One with monsters that get effects when Umi is on the field. Maybe somewhat similar to Gravekeeper's how they only really work when you have Necrovalley and their spell and trap crads need both Necrovalley and a Gravekeeper's monster on the field.

I like to switch between Fairy, Plant, Warrior, Dragon, Spellcaster, and Machine, and sometimes mix two or more of them together haha. Would probably play Sea-Serpents and Wyrms just as much if there were more of them

I love Dinosaurs and wish they would get more love in the game. Also would love more Sea Serpent, they don't deserve to be that low on the list for being such awesome creatures. My favorite types I duel with though are Fiend, Warrior, Spellcaster, Dragon, and Machine.

Here is an idea for some custom cards: Battleguard Slave and Amazoness Virgin (Female human, with I cups, small waist, and large hips, who wears just two thick ropes died with Tyrian purple, gauntlets with emerald gemstones embroidered for knuckles, and sandals, but uses a medium shield with iron rivets and short iron sword) Level 4 1300 ATK/ 2100 DEF Warrior Effect: Your opponent cannot target face up “Battleguard” or “Amazoness” cards for effects except “Battleguard Slave and Amazoness Virgin”. During each of your End Phases, you can change the battle position of this card. If this card would be destroyed or banished by an opponent's card effect or by battle; discard one card from your hand to apply the following effect: It is not destroyed or banished. Battleguard Axeman (Yellow male Minotaur who wears just a pair of bearskin shorts and uses an iron axe) Level 4 2100 ATK/ 0 DEF Warrior (field Searcher card) If no other warrior monster is on the field when it attacks your opponent draws a cards. If (corresponding field spell card) is not face up on your side of the field, when this card attacks, it is change defensive position at the end of the damage step. So the Amazons had to accept the terms of the Battleguards, "hunting in our lands is considered poaching, punishable by slavery" and you must give 7 of your virgins as slaves now. The slaves were then trained by Little Winguard for one year. The star student was then given an iron sword and medium shield with iron rivets upon graduation, the "Battleguard Slave and Amazoness Virgin".
