Business as usual... Lebron with the Heat and Cavs had the same cakewalk for nearly a decade. Fun stat: Over the last 25 years west teams won more games against east teams 22 times. Means the West was better basically every year for nearly a quater of a decade. This year the win record was 261 to 191 (57.7%) for example. Funny enough, 2 of the 3 years the east won more games were 2023 and 2022...

You have it backwards. The Mavs don't match up well against the Wolves. That pick the Mavs used on Luka man (Jaden McDaniel is 6'10). Gafford or P.J can't roll down the paint because Rudy is 7'2 or Kat 7'. The key this series is Kyrie. Kyrie must have a big scoring series. The Wolves have Alexander Walker 6'5 and Naz Reid 6'10 coming off the bench.This is not the Thunder playing four guards and a center/forward.

@threeswillis7791 not sure I agree with luka and kyrie play better against bigger guys not guys with great lateral movement. Dort westbrook are the best kind of defenders for luka. If the wolves figure out a way to not let luka draw out gobert they have a chance but luka always has his way with gobert.

Kyrie must have a big series. Luka and P.J. will be neutralized by the size of the Wolves. Lu Dort was 6'3. Jaden McDaniels is almost 6'10. The Thunder was playing four guards and a center/forward. Kat is 7', Rudy is 7'2, and Naz Reid is 6'10. The Mavs coaching staff, coming up with schemes will be the key.

Dort is 6'4 235 ... McDaniels is 6'9 maybe 200 (at best)... Luka is 6'7 245! Luka doesnt have a problem with lengh, if any he has a problem with physicality. Dort plays extremely physical and can stand his ground against Luka. McDaniels is a great defender, but he cant match Luka's strengh. Luka can post him up and push him to wherever he wants to go. He couldt do that to Dort. And Luka shoots over everybody, so lengh doesnt bother him on step backs as well. There is a reason why Luka averaged 36.5/10.5 in the 2 matchups against the Wolves this year. The only question is how his knee will hold up. Its clear that Luka will not be at 100% all playoffs, but can he at least be at 80%? Then he will average his normal 30/9/9. The more interesting matchup is Kyrie vs Ant in my opinion. Kyrie was doubled basically every possession against the Thunder. Will the Wolves do the same? Or can Ant stop Kyrie on his own? EDIT: Btw we won the one matchup that Kyrie and Luka played together against the Wolves. And our ONLY Big was Dwight Powell in that game (Lively and Maxi were injured). Now we have Lively, Gafford, Washington, the Wolves never played the Mavs after the Trade Deadline!
